Johnson Roof Systems (JRS) respectfully denies all of claims. Please see below for a detailed explanation from Bill Allred the JRS Salesman on this project:
1. The Insurance Company, in their scope, had not accounted
for and actually missed identifying the layers of shingles that were previously installed and that
there was a wooden roof on a portion of the home, the only option and action
taken was that JRS filed a Supplement Claim to Tindell and
Associates on behalf and he was happy he would have more money for
a remodel from the decking settlement.
Johnson Roofing and Roof Systems was and still is the only Mater Elite Contractor in the area for GAF.
2. the Owner of the property, acting as his own
Building Contractor hired and directed a remodeling contractor to remove
certain areas of the roof to replace rotten lumber and replace decking. (This
was in direct conflict with the JRS crew trying to keep the home in the dry and
following good roofing practices - that is replacing what is removed that same day.)
3. Mr. Allred informed as did the JRS foreman
that JRS could not keep coming down every time his part time remodeling
contractor showed up to do additional work without first notifying JRS of the
work being performed as a professional courtesy. The time cards and
production pictures show the consistent start and stop of the work.
Johnson Roof Systems had offered a Re-Roof based upon the
Insurance Companies findings and work proceeding without interference from
outside sources (framers, painters or other subcontractors.)
became very agitated when JRS brought to his attention the miscommunication on how the roofing needed to be finished and was being held up by his painting and remodel workers.
At one point demanded for another person to handle
the management of remaining portion of work and at that point Jim Williams and
Randall Kyle took over however after meeting with, and in good
faith offering options and parameters, was still not satisfied.
Ultimately was frustrated with the many
challenges that he himself created and expected JRS to continue on, against our
counsel and eventually his own actions voided the manufacturer's warranty on his roof.
Johnson Roofing has been in business since 1941 with 1000s of happy customers.
Unfortunately the satisfaction was beyond our control.
