I was sent a BUY.COM credit card through Chase.com credit cards. I activated the care with the express verbal consent to make any payments with my existing bank debit card checking account number. I charged on the card and made my initial payment filling out the icon areas of what my checking account number was. It asked me for a routing number which I felt was odd that it only is used for a ban king account number only as far as I know.

Well, this company did not do what is called a pre-notification as to any possible clerical errors or typographical error or numerical error on their input of the site. They simply took my information and sent it via ACH to my bank which my bank would not pay it because my bank requires a security code from the back of the card. Now, Chase never notified me of any attempt or attempts to collect but rather just attached to my online statement that the payment was returned unpaid and charged my account 39 dollars.

I tried to ask if this could be removed at 1-800-945-2013 and was told by Chase that it could not be removed because I entered the wrong information on which account I was to pay from. I found that ACH requires any unfunded payments to be taken from other existing accounts one has that is attachable. Chase does not honor their rules at ACH on this matter. ACH only charges 6 dollars per attempt to collect from an account.

Three attempts maximum and then rejects further communication. Most companies will do the pre-notification as to any errors before any dollar amount is submitted for collection unless they are like Chase.com which googles on the idea that they have a sucker whom they can grab their money from without notifying the consumer that an error has been made on their site. There is no way yet under the BANKING INDUSTRY

ACH or ELECTRONIC TRANSFER OF MONEY BY DIRECT PAY authorization to recognize if a number entered into an icon area is a banking account number or a debit or credit card number in case they get confused as to what payment you are trying to use. It simply does not exist and because of this gross error non rule of the banking industry many customers unknowingly and misdirected by some card activation agent enters the wrong numbers in the icon payment area designating the payable account number.

The result is that these bankers (JP Morgan/Chase) does not have to follow the ACH rules for error. I also found out that if someone made an error sending the wrong amount such as a million dollars to an account accidently if they used the electronic tranfer payment method that it could not be reversed. The loser will by law be the person whom sent it accidently. That is the real rules.

So, if you have a friend that works in a bank and they want to make some money then all you have to do is have them send your bank account an electronic transfer of a large amount of money accidently and whamo you have it legally. Then all your friend has to do is say well I made a mistake and sorry. We cannot give your money back like they did to me for my so called error.

NO ELECTRONIC TRANSFER OF MONEY CAN BE REVERSED! That is the electronic banking industry rules that is written under the ACH rules. Banks know this and that is why they can install wrong information causing you to install wrong information and they have protection for any reversal of charges automatically installed onto your account! Well, through endurance and stamina I succeeded and now my credit has been repaired. They removed the charge to my account after many tries to have it seen as an error somewhat on my part also. Thanks Chase, you came through for me and now do it for others that have a similar problem--fix your site so that if a typographical error has been installed program your site to do a pre-determination for error without any dollar amount. That should take care of the problem once and for all.

Um, that's not right about ACH rules.

First, debit cards do not use the ACH system. Debit cards use either a debit card network or Mastercard/Visa. And also, ACH allows for the reversal of transmissions. You can have ACHs returned for fraud, incorrect billing, or plain old nonsufficient funds.

I have to admit now after hours of calling and trying to get someone to really take a long look at this problem that JP Morgan/Chase credit cards came through. I was told by an agent that the charge would be dropped due to a misunderstanding on the site input. I will keep this open until I see actual results on my billing. I believe bottom line that there are good in others and if this happens that my hard earned money be returned that it will prove that Chase is one of the best banks to deal with. I will let you all know when I can see it on my bill.
