I worked for both JT Advertising and Competitive Advertising. Jared Tacher and Richie Patterson came from the same tree. These guys are hard workers and dedicated to becoming very successful in life. Jared was the college graduate while Richie was the young buck from Miami trying to find his way. They both found this type of marketing/advertising business model. I too stumbled upon this opportunity the summer of 2003 in Orlando, Florida when the office was located off of Hanging Moss Road. I too was a college graduate from UCF trying to find my career job that will allow me to make tons of money and live the american dream. When i interviewed for the job, it was completely different from when I first interviewed for the Assistant Management position at Sam's Club. I was a manager at Sam's Club at the young ripe age of 22 and thought I was on my way to becoming the next Walmart CEO. Well, I ended up hating the job and hated the politics you have to play in corporate america. So back to JT Advertising. I caught on very quickly and learned that I was awesome at Sales. The problem with this type of Multi Level Marketing model is that you have to not only build a team, but sustain and keep your team together as it grows bigger and bigger until you can prove that you can run your own operation. Most of the time you will not be able to find people willing to work as hard as you, or be as deidcated as you. The key is to be a great team builder, leader and have the ability to rally a team behind you to see the same goal you do. What they teach you at JT Advertising is that as long as you have the HEART, DEDICATION, and THE WILL TO BE SUCCESSFUL you one day can become the CEO of your own Company. Not to mention, the job market is probably in the worst condition since the great depression and JT Advertising provides people with the opportunity to sell promotions with NO OVERHEAD and to put food on the table for their families. Surely, some of the business practices are not always ethical and there is a lot of brainwashing because the owners do not want you to "NEG OUT" or become less and less committed to the "BUSINESS". If you do and you "BLOW OUT" or quit, they have to recruit again and again in which delays their ability to develop more and more owners underneath their marketing tree hence making them less and less money. They also "OVERHYPE" how much an owner makes and NEVER talk about what really goes down when it comes to TOTAL EXPENSES and TAXES DUE TO THE IRS since it is a sole prop business. Although you make the owner makes tons of money by having all the sales reps slang some coupons, at the end of the day they still have to pay their Adminstrative Assistant, Monthly Rent, Etc and Above All "TAXES" to Uncle Sam. Don't get me wrong, I must say being an owner of your own company is AWESOME and a great achievement but they dont make as much as they say they do! After all this is said, I ended working for both Jared and Richie for almost a year but will tell you that I wouldnt be as successful as I am if it werent for my experience with these guys. I am now a Financial Center Manger for a Fortune 500 Bank and in a few years could become a Regional Manager if the ball bounces my way. I have 2 baby boys and a lovely wife. I have 2 mortgage properties and other investments. I am a Machine when it comes to working hard and being dedicated. My work ethic was built up by working with Jared and Richie. I am not sure if they are still around or in the business but if they are I just want to say keep doing what you are doing. People are not forced to work for these companies, they choose to hang around. It is not for everyone, but I will tell you that I recommend this job to anyone who is looking for extra work, want to know what SELLING AND TEAM BUILDING IS ALL ABOUT or if you are just trying to find work to put food on the table. Jared and Richie, I am sure you know who I am. I am trying to catch up with you guys to keep my networking open. Maybe we can do some banking business. I still live in Central Florida. I will never forget about my experience working with you guys. You should see how people out in Corporate America look at me because I work so d**n hard and can SELL MY BUTT OFF! Again, Thank you and Hopefully we will catch up!

I worked with JT Advertising in Doral for about 3 weeks. Basically, they give you $50 daily until you are able to work strictly off your sales commision. You report is funny, but very, very , VERY, true. I remember the spa package, the tire package, the pizza packages , etc. It was quite pathetic. Very good offers tho. Its just that when you walk up to someones place of business trying to sell them, its a bit unbelievable. I had no problem with the staff, i had my own car and i made sure i had a pair of "walking shoes" handy. I would have never pictured myself ever doing this type of job, but hey times were hard. All i have to say, it that when they stopped giving me that$50 daily...i was out of their. LOL...forget the company, thats not my goal. Very deceptive, and very good fast talkers. But for those who DONT know, here are a couple of other companies who do the EXACT same thing: -Top Flight Marketing( affliated with JT advertising- based out of broward) -Encore Marketing group.... and pretty much any other company on these job search engines with "marketing" behind them. I hope this helps someone. lol.

Well, the title speaks for itself. I actually went through the same thing with JT, and unbeknownst to me, they connived me into their business. Now, their website...wow...whoever created that is at least an awesome web designer. Very misleading though. I studied advertising/communications at Florida State University. It was actually my major...and my first clue that this agency was bogus should have been the fact that nobody there, count it-NOBODY, not even the OWNER, had ever studied advertising or marketing in all it's form. I didn't even see any books in anybody's office. Also, Jared told me there would be no sales involved, and that he himself had no experience in sales. Ok, first of all, advertising is sales, especially if you're a door to door/business to business SALES company SELLING pamphlets and packets that your CLIENTS don't even HIRE you to do. They use big name corporations to reel you into thinking that they are a high profile ad agency. Maybe they need to look up the definition of advertising, and perhaps then study it for a few years. Most of these people are so brainwashed they don't even realize what they are doing. The girl who took me training, drove me all the way to Fort Lauderdale, and only "sold" one Disney pamphlet to a poor and gullible worker at target. In addition, we drove to a mall located in a mostly black and hispanic area. This is because the girl training me said that they would be more impulse buyers, and they are "our" best target for selling these stupid things. Basically, we had gone to a few business prior to that, owned and opperated by mostly "white" people, where we had no luck. She explained to me that this is "because white people know better." ????? While at the mall, which clearly had a sign that said "NO SOLICITING", one of the business owners told us to be careful of security, as we could get arrested for soliciting there. I expressed concern to my trainer, as she then replied, "oh those things never happen. it's just security, they can't arrest us anyway." She also approached a business owner and said "Don't worry, I'm not Jehovah's Witness or anything, I'm not trying to sell you my religion", while the business owner then replied, "well what if I was? That would be offensive. I'm not interested in anything you have to sell." I should have known that when I looked up advertising/marketing careers on career builder.com, and saw at least 50 openings for "entry-level, fresh out of college!" positions, under many different pseudonyms, for the SAME COMPANY, that this was a scam. Poor people...most of them working there haven't gone to college, or are starting to attend, with the possibility of dropping out before they finish because they've found this "great" opportunity! Beware...they will sell their company until you say yes. And they're not good at sales...neither is the owner...remember? I am more qualified than to have a job that is commission only, and I'm sure you are too... because..yeah, you don't get on salary until AT LEAST 7 months later...that's if you've "sold" enough "promotional packets" to consumers. They don't even give you a license to sell these things, just a little home-made badge that says "JT Advertising." At one point, we went into a car sales office, where the owner asked to see our license, and instead my trainer pulled out her "badge" to which the owner replied, "I could make that at my computer in my office on Microsoft Works." They don't even give you business cards! I mean HELLO, if you're going to ACT professional, at least do a better job. SO, yeah...beware...and don't judge a company by it's website. And if you're in this business, get out while you can. They pay you commission, in cash, under the table, and if you ever plan on having a retirement someday, and you continue working for this company, you can kiss your retirement goodbye because they don't even give you any tax forms to fill out once you accept this job. They also make you take your own car around to these different neighborhoods selling these stupid things...they say they give you gas money, but yeah right. I could go on and on...but it's a waste of time. Good luck to those who actually think this is going to get them the business of their dreams.

I have seen this posting from this person and decided since its a new year that I would give my point of view. I normally wouldn't because I wouldn't care what one person's opinion is however it seems that individuals that don't even know my company would read a person's words and automatically assume it to be accurate. In my 1st meeting with this person she was told what she would be doing. She just chose to hear what she wanted to hear. Its funny to her what we do isn't advertising yet company's like the Florida Marlins, Improv, Florida Panthers, Midas, Tire Kingdom, Pizza Hut, Contour Day Spa at the hard rock, Dave and Busters, Boomers among others are doing or have done business with us. Now keep in mind these are all huge companies that I'm sure carry some credibility. It actually shames me when I read comments like this young lady posted. Isn't it tough enough allready to try and find work. I know cause I interview candidates everyday. She felt like she wasted a day because the entry-level side of our company didn't coincide with what she was looking for. She thinks advertising is sitting behind some big desk and brainstroming ideas for companies or strategizing how to get their name out. She thought she would sit down with these companies, they would tell her what they were looking for in terms of advertising, and then she would come up with the brilliant idea on how to do it. I'm sorry but you not that smart. I don't mean that in a disrespectful way. There are many different functions when it comes to marketing and advertising. I've learned the bottom line is companies just want results. They want to increase their revenues. All my company does is it just provides another avenue for my clients to reach out to individuals. I write this today not to disrespect the person that wrote this initially but to give individuals that have never even visited my company a different perspective. What happens is people will read this and might cancel an interview. Remember anyone can write anything. Others might read this that went on an iterview and maybe even agree with this young lady. Maybe it wasn't what they were seeking either. I used to do Accounting. It just wasn't for me. Does that make accounting firms a scam then because I wouldn't be interested in that kind of work. On rip off report are articles about Wal-Mart, Goodyear, Lowes, Chevrolet, U-Haul and many others. Last time I checked those companies aren't scams. This young lady also stated that we are uneducated individuals. The funny thing is the person that interviewed her has a masters degree. I don't believe that would consider a person to be uneducated (lol). In the end I understand why this young lady can be upset. She's unemployed , somewhere in the neighborhood of 50,000-100,000k in debt from student loans and can't find a job. I'd be upset as well. She also forgot to write that I actually compensated her for the day when we spoke. I brought up our initial interview and she then understood that maybe she wasn't listening entirely. I told her that I felt bad that she had a bad experience and would like to compensate her. She agreed and was actually thankful. So here is a person that is compensated for a day as if she worked and is still upset. In the end, I mostly write this because its tough right now interms of finding work. The job market isn't strong and its not like it's becoming cheaper to live in south florida. What I can say is that my company offers individuals an opportunity and I can share my experiences. Inside of 3 months of starting with the company I was in a management position. At the age of 23 I became the C.E.O. of the company. In 2007 all of our offices within our organization did 4.5 million dollars in sales. Meanwhile I went on the exact same interview as that young lady. The only difference was perception. THESE ARE FACTS!!!!! Our business model is designed for the average person with an above average desire. It is not designed for the lazy person who thinks they are just going to get rich by sitting on their a*s. I am very proud to be the owner of J.T. Advertising and extremely proud of the work I do. I don't scam anybody. I have helped mold individuals into young successful entrepreneurs and also have helped people that have moved onto other endeavors. Ten out of ten people that have worked with my company for at least 2 months will say they are a better person, have a better attitude, are more business saavy, have a stronger work-ethic, are more confident, and have seen personal growth within themselves. That to me is the what I love the most about my company. You won't get that kind of experience anywhere. Keep in mind I wrote 2 months not 2 years not 20 years. If you can work within my company for 2 months and not have achieved everything I just said then write all the rip offs you want. Title your self shut it down and contact the BBB then like this young lady suggested when she wrote her article. GLTA in 2008 no matter what kind of employment you are in. Just set a goal for yourself that wou will be in a better position come Jan. 2009 then you are in 2008.
