I searched the web for a replacement spa pump on Tuesday May 24. I needed to have it by Friday because of the upcoming holiday weekend. I found pumpwarehouse.com and called to ask their location. "Joe" said he was in St. Pete Florida. That was great since I'm in Tallahassee, FL and would be sure to get a pump by the end of the week. He quoted me a price, told me he could get it out the same day. I gave him my credit card number, shipping, phone and email. I asked him to send me a tracking number as soon as it shipped. He said he would.
The next day I called to check the status since I did not receive a tracking number. I got his voice mail and left a message. I called a few more times as the day went on, left one more message and got nothing but voice mail the other ten or so times I called.
Thursday morning, now two days after I placed the order and no word from Joe yet. Still no tracking number and I checked that my card had not been charged yet. I called first thing and got the voice mail again, left a message. As it got closer to noon I knew I had to do something if I was going to get a pump by the weekend.
By this time I knew I was going to have to pay an overnight charge from somewhere to get the pump on Friday. I found another place that had a decent price and the pump in stock. They were in California so it was going to cost a bit for shipping. Just as I am about to hit the submit order button, I get an email that my pump has been shipped (from
[email protected]).
I immediately responded and told him to call me ASAP. I phoned again and got VM so I hung up.
15 minutes later it's 1:45 in the afternoon so I call and leave a message telling him he has 15 minutes to call me and explain exactly how the item was shipped or I am cancelling the order and placing with another company. 2PM came so I placed my order from Cali and called my CC company to dispute the charge.
I find out from the charge that appeared that he is located in PA and NOT FL like he told me.
This guy is far beyond just a poor businessman, he should be shut down.
