Judge Welch ripoff Oklahoma City Oklahoma
In 2003 we adopted our grandaughter. Before the adoption was finally the maternal granmother went into district court and got a court order for visition for our daughter. She sued the natural mother and dhs for visitation rights, our name was never on the order. And the address for dhs was wrong, so no one showed up for court. So the judge automatically gave her visitation. This judge was Barbara Swinton. She made us sign an or bond. To keep us from going to jail. Which we still hadn't seen a court order for visitation.
She then made us go to a mediator which cost us 500.00 dollars. we didnt want her to go and visit them for more than one day. and the mediator wanted our daughter to go every other weekend. (she is not their daughter and that is what non custodial parents get not grandparents). We went to court several more times the judge then made us go to a parent cordinator, (which is not for grandparents visitation, but for parents who can't agree on visitation.) So our daughter had to go to their home every other weekend for visits, The grandmother has a criminal record and so does the stepgrandfather, neither had drivers liscense. And they live in a one bedroom house and five people lived there. The parent cordnator even made a visit there once and said the house was in shambles. but yet she had to go there she had to sleep on the couch. They also had fleas and animals in the house.
After going into court and trying to get every thing changed the judge would never let us bring up their past or present. We wanted to end these visits, after an adoption the child is no longer related to the bioligical family. one court date our lawyer brought up the fact that the judge couldnt make us use a parent cordnator if we couldn't afford one. Judge Welch read it in the court room and said well you know what I am going to make you go anyway. well every time we have been to court the Judges make up their own rules. Why don't they have to follow the law like every one else? If we break the law then we are held responsible for our actions. Oh Barbara Swinton even went behind dhs and gave the grandmother gaurdain ship of her other grandaugther WITH OUT DOING A BACKGROUND CHECK. That is why they couldn't get out daughter to begin with.
