Patent & Trademark Institute (PTI) owner Julian M. Gumple (http://www.inventored.org/caution/pti/) is a prodigy of Robert Waxman (http://www.inventored.org/caution/waxman/). Both were busted in the Federal Trade Commission's (www.FTC.gov) sting "Project Mousetrap".

InventorEd recently took an interest in PTI when we became aware of an especially egregious case of PTI fleecing an elderly man on a fixed income. As a result of dealing with PTI this man was relieved of over $10,000 and he lost all rights to his invention.

So being a public spirited organization we demanded that PTI refund this man's money. Mr. Julian M. Gumple called and tried to convince me that the blame for this situation lay with the client. But the Federal record shows that Julian M. Gumple has a history of involvement with unsavory and useless invention promotion enterprises.
