Elisha Durham runs the company internally as a front man for Jay Rathman. The company os fraudulently incorporated with the state of Nevada under another persons name John Rathman (we now know Jays real name) (see link)

Works with Line Systems and Birch Telecom

Runs a call center in Las Vegas that promises lower rates. Has repeatedly bounced checks to employee's and fails to pay full comish rates to contractors. Company is now expanding and hiring more people to take advantage of.

The company gets about 70 bucks for everyline they switch from Line Systems and Birch. They pay 20 bucks to contractors for each sale. However, they regularly short contract commision to emplyee's by saying the line sale did not go through.

Very hard up desperate people are being taken advantage of on the customer and employee/contractor side.

Jay Rathman is really John Rathman. He ran a telemarketing firm 3 years ago and it went out of business and the employee's/contractors reportingly were not paid. On paydays, the banks will not cash checks until a deposit comes in after the payments were made!

In many emails from Jay Rathman, I have been threaten and even verbally harrassed by Jay rathman the CEO of Smartlink. Jay Rathman thinks that I posted the post above about him. I did not post the post above. I do and will tell my experience at smartlink. On 3 occaisions I presented checks to Mr Aragon at Citibank from Jay Rathman - doing business at World Smartlink. Those checks were denied payment from Citibank on the corner of Flamingo and Maryland in Las Vegas. Mr Rathman has also done payroll and failed to deposit monies into payroll accounts in a timely fashion forcing other members of his team to make the deposits as people waiting - sometimes for hours - for checks to clear. I took my checks to moneytree and have no idea if they cleared or not. Mr rathman is an interesting fellow and this is his 2nd attempt ata call room in 5 years or so. As for his team, they mostly are working on a wing and a prayer that Mr Rathman will make payroll each week. I have no idea how much monies he makes or fritters away. I do know that he a person named Jay or John Rathman was sued by Amvets from Vegas for illegally owing and directing amvets web surfers to click through schemes a few years ago. You can search that.....on google. At this time, I have retained counsel and will be filing a legal complaint against World Smart link for tortious business interferance in the sum of 500,000 USD. Mr Rathman has wrongfully made claims against me and I figure the claims against him can easily be prooven.

First of all, I know who wrote this posting, and his name is Troy. I feel the need to state some very specific facts in defense of Smartlink here: He was an IT consultant that was terminated after only 3 weeks with Smartlink due to his unprofessionalism in showing up more than 3 hours late on this past Wednesday the 7th of January, 2008. It is normally our policy to not disclose and/or make public, any reasons for termination of any member of our staff or a consultant, as Tony was. However, he decided to attempt to slander us on this public forum, so we will state simple facts that we are already sure of, to make our position clear, and clear up any misunderstandings that anyone may have. Tone was with us for 3 weeks, and was compensated in full for his services. Tony makes a claim that I have bounced checks to "several" employees. This statement is 100% false and without any foundation or merit. If this was happening, would any of our 18+ staff members still be working at Smartlink? I think not...Would you stay with a company that is bouncing payroll checks? I know I wouldn't...I'm sure that CitiBank could verify this if I felt a reason to further defend myself and Smartlink, but truthfully, I don't as it is simply fabricated...Here is why: Tony is upset that he was terminated on Tuesday the 7th of January 2008. Furthermore, when he showed up over 3 hours late for his agreed upon arrival time, and we subsequently informed him that his services were no longer needed, he started demanding his final check then be cut on the spot. After informing him that we would call in his check the same way that we normally called our payroll into ADP each week, and that he could pick it up on Friday, he began to get very irate, even quite threatening. In fact, in front of about 4 other people, he said SPECIFICALLY that he was going to go on the internet and post some mean and nasty comments about myself and my company, hence, here we are... Tony stated some very specific facts about our business, and also posted our client's direct contact information in an attempt to stir up the pot...As such, the only people that had access to this information were myself, my Admin and my Sr. VP...He was inadvertently working on our Admin's computer on Tuesday at about 1:00 in the afternoon when he downloaded this information to a flash drive, that belonged to us, and Tony has still not returned...This, along with the above aqccount of event's that I detailed above, are SOME of the reasons that we KNOW that HE posted this... So, moving forward, in the spirit of ending the confrontation, I informed him that we would have the checks delivered on Thursday, even though they were dated for Friday, and he could pick it up on Thursday afternoon... We also post our Master Commission report, as it is emailed to us by Line Systems each Wednesday afternoon. This way, all the sales reps can see what they sold and what cleared, and anything that didn't, WITH A REASON. Furthermore, every sales rep is paid commissions for every single line that Line Systems pays us for, nothing more, nothing less...If you were to ask all of our staff, you would find that we go WAY out of our way to make sure that they have a pleasant work environment and can excel as far as possible in their careers... If a sales rep didn't make as much as they had hoped, it makes no sense that they blame Smartlink for it... Likewise, if another staff member blatantly doesn't show up for work and causes themselves to lose their job as a result, then that is THEIR problem... Oh, and my birthname IS John...But I have been called Jay by friends and family since I was 3 weeks old...Is it even really that relavant here...? lol But in any case, it is much easier to point the finger at someone other than yourself...! Lucky for us, were able to replace Tony before he even showed up 3 1/2 hours late. JR
