Just Brakes(635 and Preston Road Dallas, TX) recently did work on my 99 Tahoe. The result about $500 later was that I had to replace the front rotors due to the extensive damage done by their repair so-called specialists. The store replaced the brake pads and called me to tell me I needed to replace the calipers and the rotors were low.
They asked me if I wanted the rotors turned and calipers changes, and I said no to both. The car is less than a year old why would I need these changes. After getting my car back and costing $204.30, the car shook really bad while applying the brakes. Any one of the so called specialist who supposedly test drove my would of noticed this happening.
I got pissed and took the car to the dealership where it cost me another $380 for the rotors to be replaced. The reason chevy gave was that both of the front rotors were recently turned badly leaving large unrepairable visble to the eye divots in the rotors. These are the same rotors that I sais not to turn. Also on the invoice it said they had bled, flushed, and filled the brake fluid which was not done and replace my old pads with premium pads in which the new hardware with the pads was not installed.
After this I contacted them through their website which you have to send email to the
[email protected], and I was civil about the whole problem and I talked to an executive of the company and he told me to take the rotors down to another office and they would look into it. They did, said they were not responsible and said their favorite line I belive they are taught this "We did not tell you where to spend your money why are you spending ours elsewhere taking your car to another repair shop."
If you've ever heard this cheese line you know how irritating this is. All I can say is that these guys do horrible work, lie about the work that is done, and do not accept responsibility for the problems they create. Enough said.
