Why did you update this report with basically the same words? Did they give you a itemized estimate?

The $99.98 brake job was used to entice me into their shop. At first, the manager was very friendly. Right after he announced he basically needed to rebuild my front and rear brakes from scratch... I offered resistance. His demeanor changed almost immediately and he became visibly upset with me. The bottom-line, by the way, was over $1400. I asked him to put the vehicle back together (which him even angrier) and said, "I needed to figure out if the vehicle was even worth doing this major of a repair." I drove straight to O'Reily's auto parts store and bought all of the parts necessary for the repairs for $228.00 (retail). I found a local shop in town (Auto Works) that has offered to do the rebuild to both front and rear brakes for $75.00 per axle ($150.00 total). So, $228.00 + $150.00 = $ 378.00. That means that "Just Brakes" was going to make over a $1000 for probably 2-3 hours labor! I am just stating the facts... draw your own conclusions my fellow consumers. Probably this business should be called "Just Pass".
