Complaint Review: Just Fearless Angel Network - Internet

This is the unfortunate story of a very petty and vindictive startup founder, Hilary Jensen of Obe Dogg/Obe Inc pretending be someone named Bill from Boston using the SAME EXACT Wording we received via email reply from her. That was her first lie in this report, rather than being honest about the fact that she actually posted this report filled with lies. What has she got to hide by using a fake name (of a man no less) and city location and claiming she was dooped. FYI, Men cannot apply for this Angel Fund, only Women sorry Bill aka Hilary Jensen.  We have never had contact or know anyone name Bill from Boston. 

Her goal is to tear down other women where possible, but it won't work. She didn't get the outcome she wanted. So rather than being an adult about it and coming to us directly, we had to hear it from a third party and contacted her immediately to verify it was her in fact her spreading lies based on assumptions and heresay from someone else that we have never worked with nor know. She claimed in response via email our website and links were expired.

We responded by sending her the links she claimed were expired or not valid and no response. In that same email to her, we gave links to a YouTube (still available on our YouTube account) that was uploaded over 8 years again showing the beginning of of how our company started. She ignored that. She felt that we should be on Linkedin, there is a reason why we are not and she never to ask why only made assumptions. Nothing we can do about her assumptions when she refuses to talk to us directly. 

She never reached out to us directly to ask any questions nor voice any concerns, instead she false assumptions and heresay to be vindictive over a refund dispute that did not go in her favor. It starts with with a NEW angel fund, which she was aware of it when she applied, that was created in 2017 by the founder of our company. So there isn't a track history on the fund and we have been completely open about that. However, there is over 10+ years of history for the company and founder.

The $40 application fee is so that you only get the serious people. When people have a vested interest, no matter the amount they take it more seriously. Same thing for if you buy a concert ticket or an airline ticket, you are not likely to miss it because you paid for it. Yes, it is non-refundable but no one is going to make a killing on $40 especially for such a targeted and niche market. There are many other angel funds exclusively for women entrepreneurs that charge anywhere from $100-$250 for application fees plus presentation fees which can number in the hundreds or thousands of dollars. However, we can only think that by asking people to take a small vested interest in their business for $40 is wrong in this vindictive and extremely emotional woman's eyes. 

We encourage you to absolutely check out the press we have received over the years from 2017 and back. Appearantly it seems that anything not in 2018 or by black owned media is not legtimate. Not to mention having been covered by Business Insider, NY Times, and more. Not to mention a well received book on Amazon published almost 4 years ago with multiple positive reviews over the years. We even sent the book to Bill/Hilary Jensen and she simply ignored it.

Nine years ago a former intern who was fired, wrote a report on out of spite on this site. That is the ONLY report we have on here. We responded to that same report 9 YEARS AGO, just like we are responding to this one, Fearlessly. According to Bill/Hilary Jensen "we're back" 9 years laters. Fact is, we never left we only grew. However, we can say that one report ensured that we NEVER worked with interns again and that was our mistake. We learned from it. We won't let's Bill/Hilary Jensen stop us from doing the work we have been doing for over a decade no matter how petty and vindictive she is.

Hilary Jensen of Obe Dog/Obe Inc. claims our social media is out of date, that is another lie. If you look at ours and hers, you will see that we post way more than she does. Not daily, but definitely more frequently and not to sale something but to actually inspire. No it is not just Tony Robbins as she put it, way more than that. But we actually like Tony Robbins as well. 

She says we don't have photos on our site, some people are private and in order to respect that, we choose to use caricatures that describe everyone's personality. We are not the only company to do that as there are many others who do the same. Why is that a crime? She says there is no address, she never asked. Can you find the address for every single office for Facebook, Amazon, GEC, or any other international company? Do you know how hard it is to even find a phone number or email address for various departments within Google, Amazaon, Facebook, but yet what is ok for one is not ok for anyone else. Many keep that private and use emails and we modeled this company after that. We have that right as we make ourselves reachable via email and it has never been an issue in over 10+ years.

Finally, we are here because Hilary Jensen chose to use a fake man's name and location rather than be woman enough to admit it was actually her. But yet she is supposed to be credible. Right.... We know it is her based on the same exact wording received from her and being that no one else has had this issue. We are here because Hilary chose to make assumptions and go with heresay rather than asking us directly which she never did. We will not back down and we will not shy away from this. 

We hope that any entrepreneurs reading this take it as an example of what to do when someone tries to attack what you have built on their own lies and assumptions. May she stop tearing down women and actually work to help other women and focus on her business. We will move forward, but will take this as a lesson learned to be more selective on who we work in and potentially invest in. It is sad that we have to say this, but yes the company is real and yes the angel fund is real but Hilary never asked us directly and after one reply where we corrected every false statement, fake news, and assumptions we never heard from her again until she decided to to this.

It is amazing that even when people are presented with facts, in a true narcisstic form that have to always be right even if it is based on a lie which is currently seen widely within the US. We still wish Hilary Jensen success even with petty and vindictivness from her because she didn't get the outcome she wanted.
