JustForMe, TLG JustForMe Music, TLG Fraudulently charged $59.99 on an Amazon (Chase) Credit Card Toronto Ontario Canada
What a nuisance!
TLG charged my Amazon (Chase) Credit Card account for $59.99.
I caught the charge a few days later, and Chase immediately closed my account and sent a new Card with a new account, but ... .
Why Chase allowed the charge in the first place is beyond me, since when I reported the fraudulent charge, they advised me that it was old news to them, having received multiple other reports about TLG ahead of mine!
Chase is the same company that if you are traveling in a foreign country (Read: Canada) and you have not told them ahead of time, they will choose to disallow a charge for, say, gasoline. A few years ago, this attempt to save me from myself caused me to miss a once-a-day ocean-going ferry from Nova Scotia and to risk missing a once-a-week connection farther up the line in Labrador.
In truth, Credit Card companies are not particularly helpful in preventing fraudulent charges unless the process fits limited parameters of their choosing.
This does not excuse TLG's attempt at committing fraud, however.
I would like to know how TLG responds to these several reports!
