Avoid JustHost.com at all cost!  They are scammers who will immediately bill your credit card for things you did not order, refuse to answer their phone and give you the runaround when you try to cancel.

I was snared by several fake free web guides extolling its virtures, such as www.thetop10bestwebhosting.com, which ranked it as #1 web hosting site with a 98% score. Sadly, I did not come here to ripoff reports first.

To get the advertised rate of $3.45 per month, you have to sign a 4-year contract and pay up front or go with a higher rate of $4.95 per month and pay $118.80 up front.  But if that were all, I wouldn't be here.

Once you sign up and submit your order, you have to go through many screens pushing you for add on services before your order is complete. You have the option to say no thanks, just confirm my order, which I did.  Well then, imagine my surprise when I got to the end and found that they had still charged me for two add on sevices I did not order!!!  $19.95 per month for daily back up and $12.95 for sitelock.

I immediately tried to call their toll free number to cancel, and that's when the runaround began.  First the phone just rang and rang, so I tried live chat.  That idiot told me to simplify my question and no matter what I said to him, he would only respond that I had to email [email protected] or [email protected].  My husband and I tried all evening between emailing and calling.  He finally reached someone who said they would email a link, where we could cancel.  We received the email, which stated that they would refund the fraudulent add-ons for daily backup and sitelock and it did, indeed, provide a link for cancellation.

We followed the link, but three tries later with the logins and passwords they kept sending, and we still couldn't get logged in.  After another email, we finally were able to login only to realize that the game continued.  Step 4 of the cancellation said, "Choose Cancellation Type."  The only option that was provided, however, was "cancel my account, so it doesn't automatically renew at the renewal date (12/07/2012)."  They must think we are idiots.

The way things stand now, we sent them another email saying that the only cancellation option provided was not really an option, and that we want our account canceled NOW and our money refunded NOW.  We have contacted our bank to dispute the charges.

Don't let this nightmare be yours!  And if you have been caught, file a dispute with your bank.  If they get enough chargebacks, they can lose their merchant account, which is all we can hope for to keep others from falling into this same trap.
