K & B Transportation Looking for a job BEWARE ! Worst Employer in Tri-State Area ripoff Dakota City Nebraska
PROSPECTIVE DRIVERS, MECHANICS/SHOP HELP, OFFICE HELP ETC.
Are you relocating to Sioux City area or looking for a new job. Well just a FYI no matter how bad you need a job DO NOT go to work for K & B Transportation in Dakota City, Nebraska. It will be the WORST experience of your life & you will regret it later.
First of all they make everything look like they are the best company to work for but once you get in your are F'#$%D and if you can stand the freak fits, hitting himself in head, talking to himself & calling you everything but stupid that Brock (owner) does and the LIES & Threats Rat (vice president)and the mechanic mistakes & the threats Mike R (head mechanic) tries to blame on you for when it is actually his mistake than Good Luck !
And Brock & Rat are so worried about making that all mighty $ that they don't even realize their head mechanic is hauling everything that isn't tied down home in his personal vehicle.
And forget raises there are some guys there who have never had a raise & one guy who got hurt & when tried to turn into workmen's comp Rat threatened to fire him but instead Brock just cut his pay to the point he had to file bankruptcy (because he no longer could perform the job he was hired to 10 years ago). Loyal to their employees huh. And the only reason he don't quit is because he has no high school diploma & was told he would NEVER work again because they would make sure of it.
The STRESS level there is unbelievable.
And heaven forbid if they don't like you because (you figured our their game) because they will set you up, get you fired & you will never see your check or worse yet they will call the cops & have you hauled off so even when you get your check by time you post bail etc. They might as well have held your check.
If you don't believe me just type in Sioux City, Iowa and the last time I looked they had 7 out of 15 bad reports. What does that tell you. RUN !

I was hired by K&B Transportation in Nebraska, and had to catch a bus all the way there from TX, I went through orientation and had to wait over a day for a truck. I was assigned a truck, given a load. That went okay i guess. Anyway i was told that they would give me a load home afterwards, NEVER HAPPENED. Was out 2 Weeks and finally got to go home, but was late getting home by 2 days, was supposed to be home on friday night and got home sunday night. Then i had been up all day monday, because i wasn't supposed to leave until tuesday night or wednesday morning. Well they called me on monday night about 8:30 P.M. and said i had to get in the truck right then and take a load 700 miles by tuesday morning, i told them i couldn't do it because i hadn't had enough rest and was tired and my hours on my log had not reset, was already in violation had used 84 hours out of 70 (HELLO!!!!) that wasn't bad enough. The truck needed to go into the shop, the turbo had went out 100 miles before i got home on sunday but i was told to keep driving it like that, so i drove until i got home. Well I got tired of arguing with them monday night, and calmly told them i was through talking to them as of then and i would call and talk to them in the morning. Well i woke up tuesday morning to some very vulgar messages on my phone about 5 of them actually. My dispatcher and the owner (Brock), had both left msgs on my cell phone, wanting to know where the hell i was and why the load that i refused to take was not there yet and that i had better call them right then and i was gonna have hell to pay. So i called them just like i said i would and got an ear full, and was told that they already had someone on a plane flying down to get my truck. They actually flew someone down there without talking to me to find out what was going on. Well they didn't care that i had no hours or was so tired i couldn't even drive my own pick up around town. They were yelling and cussing at me on the phone and i told them about the conversation the night before and i was told by Brock that he didn't care and that i was terminated and just plain didn't give a crap about me or that the truck was broke down or anything else. Well they still owed me over $1500 for what i had run that week. I had direct deposit they paid me and then i paid bills close to $1000 worth of them and then they took my whole check back out of my acnt. and said that they were going to mail me a check. Well.... they did but it was only about $175 instead of $1500 and i asked them about it they said that they took all my hours and paid me minimum wage for them instead of mileage pay, and then took out the cost of the man's plane ticket and all expenses that he in curred durring his trip to get my truck. So All I can say is THEY ARE VERY CROOKED AND DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR DRIVERS OR EQUIPMENT AND DON'T PAY WHAT THEY OWE AND THEY DO MAKE YOU RUN BETWEEN 3 AND 5 LOG BOOKS JUST TO STAY OUT RUNNING AND DON'T GIVE YOU YOUR HOME TIME, AND JUST PLAIN RUN YOU INTO THE GROUND AND ALSO THEY EVEN TELL YOU IN ORIENTATION THAT IT DON'T MATTER IF YOU HIT ANYTHING, VERY VERY VERY DANGEROUS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
