I have been interested in the Coastal for some time now so I've been following this rip-off report and have checked out BOTH directors. (Karl and Britt) So I'd like to jump in and post my thoughts- First, I totally agree with the post above. This is absolutely juvenile and unprofessional. How disgusting to watch two grown men who claim to be professionals in the industry act like mere idiots in a public forum creating so much negativity for Coastal. But for all those reading this and who are also considering joining Coastal....DON'T LET THIS RIP-OFF REPORT HAVE AN EFFECT ON YOUR DECISION. I still joined Coastal and have not looked back since. It was the best decision I ever made. There are other directors out there who are extremely professional and could care less about what OTHER directors are doing. Karl and Britt are NOT Coastal Vacations. My husband and I had an attorney look further into the accusations thrown around in this thread BEFORE we joined- We post this only to show that there are actually more than 2 sides to the story. F.Y.I, We have found that: (1) Karl Jacobsen CAN and STILL does order packages from the distribution center and they ARE honored. Also, Director releases bearing Karls name are in fact validated and being honored. (we have proof as recent as 3 days ago) (2) Karl's CD program is NOT approved by Coastal BUT he has never been told to "cease and desist". (3) Karl is also actively involved in Gano Excel (MLM marketing for "Healthy Coffee") and other ventures. (3) Britt ALSO markets and sells Coastal DVD's and CD's (4) Britt Phillips was NEVER a licensed P.I. Which is why he can't/won't submit a license number and the year(s) he was licensed. A License number does NOT provide anyone with any vital information about the licensee, it only validates their credentials. If he was a REAL P.I. he would have known this and gladly provided it. (5) Britt still actively promotes his other businesses and side ventures. Coastal is NOT his only income. He also makes a nice side income by "selling" his team members other products to "help" their business. (websites, lead generators, lead capture pages, voice shot services, DVD's, CD's, Tapes, coaching services, monthly co-op ads, search engine optimization, etc...) Wonder why he's so upset with what Karl is doing? And Lastly- Joseph, from Middletown New Jersey, claimed he lost his truck because he was so broke and gave Karl his last penny for the Coastal CD Program NOW says he bought into Coastal with a top level director for a $10,000 buy-in. Guess he wasn't really broke after all. He's also STILL struggling to make money. Maybe it wasn't Karls CD that was the problem....some people are just not cut out for direct sales. In closing, I'd like to say that we did not join Coastal under Britt OR Karl. We decided to Stay away from drama and negativity. And for the record...we made 3 sales our first week and we don't do ANY online marketing. The opportunity IS real...find a good director and don't let anyone side track you!

Mr. Phillips, no response in your own defense? I want to say that I am surprised considering your track record on rip-off report in the past. But then again, maybe you have realized your faults & decided it is best to stand back & listen for a change, instead of continuing to talk. Maybe you have realized that all off this blabbering on here has caused some problems for the company you work under, & if so...good. Let the company speak for itself & good luck to you & Mr. Jacobsen in all your future endeavors. TA-TA!

Don't you people realize what you are doing here? First of all-I thought that the investment amount to start off in this business was entirely too much, but I also thought it did sound like a good business opportunity. However, you two men (Jacobsen & Phillips-(sounds like a law firm)) that work for this company are destroying any chance of me joining it, personally. Don't you see that your bickering & accusations against one another are not good at all in the name of this company & certainly do not make YOU look any better either. It is clear that you, Jacobsen are not in the business of treating people with respect & honesty-due to your own words & those of investors beneath you, as well as the words of Mr. Phillips. As for Mr. Phillips, I do believe you are a religious man, but I also believe you talk too much & I only say that because it is what has driven me away from this company & the opportunity it may have been able to offer me before I read all this garbage on here. Granted, it was mostly the two of you attacking each other, rather than bad reports, but that is all it took for me to back off from this possible venture. ENOUGH TO DRIVE ME AWAY. Just think how this would look to others who may investigate this company in the future because they have some interest in it. Do you see the potential damage you have & are causing here? Wise up. Aside from all that, you two work together & is this what you call a team? Is this how everyone with "Coastal Vacations" treats everyone else who signs on with this company. you know what............. "SAVE THE DRAMA!!!!!!!!!!" This is so very ridiculous & if the 'boss-man' said Jacobsen was cut off, so to speak, then it should have really just been left at that & HE should have handled it from there-ya know, since he IS the BIG BOSS, the man above all of you who do work for this company as 'Independent Contractors' & seem to make up your own rules as you go along. Farewell, & thank you for saving me from spending my last bit of money on this opportunity. I know I can certainly make a much lesser investment & work for myself elsewhere & never have to deal with all of this nonsense & drama.

ATT: Karl Jacobsen Last course of action to settle.... from Joseph L Giliberto We are now entering our third month trying to communicate with Karl Jacobsen. I have made numerous attempts to legally, civilly & personally contact him. But he continue to ignore me. Initially I was asking that you only return to me my $5000 that you ripped me off for with your illegal CD scam. I was trying to be nice. Well being nice is getting me no where.... matters are about to get much messier & the bill for all this will be getting larger & larger as this next week unfolds. I am currently in possession of 100's of fax phone numbers to the nearest local businesses to your office & home phone numbers to your local neighbors where you live. Starting This Monday morning @ 9:00 AM EST... March 7. 2005....I will be calling & faxing copies every hour of scam reports with your picture, name & last know address on them to your neighbors up & down Streamvale circle, Drainsville Rd, Parkstream Terrace, Wiehle Ave & local businesses up & down Reston Parkway, Old Reston Rd, Plaza America Drive, Sunset Hill Rd to let them know what a swell guy you are. Stopping nowhere short of pizzerias, delis, Doctors, Banks, dollar stores, food stores, gas stations, pharmacy's, Dunkin Donuts, office supply stores, I have fax numbers to over 60 Travel agencies right in your back yard, diners, hotels, police departments..... local news papers, post offices, UPS, Fed Ex, TV media, the Coastal seminar in Florida this March & even the BBB & IRS......and who ever else I may think of.... ALL AT YOUR EXPENCE>>>> and I'm not stopping until I see a certified check in my hand. The law says I am entitled to triple the damages for time spent, personal losses, & punitive damages.... Payable through cash, personal items or liens on property. The settlement is no longer $5000. You might want to get out you calculator for this one. The cost is now on going since December of 2004 when I first asked for a refund. The cost is now $5000 plus an additional $1000 for every week I have already wasted because of your illegal, unapproved, CD scam, plus losses & damages & any additional expences.... times 3.... so ignore me just a little longer..... while my wallet continues to get fat...... AT YOUR EXPENCE. Here's a break down: This is my initial expense: $4500 for your scam CD, four out dated web sites with broken links, disconnected phone numbers & voice mail, voice blast & email blast advertising that I never received. $500 to my attorney & the New Jerseys Attorney Generals office to ask you to refund my money. 10 weeks of my accumulative lost wages @ $1000 a week since December of 2004....and still counting, Total: $15,000 A broken written promise of $24,000 by Christmas of 2004. We are yet to put a price on the punitive damages. The aggravation, wasted time, hardship & stress you have caused my children & myself. My $30,000 truck was repossessed because of your promise to make us $24,000 before Christmas. My children never had a Christmas last year because we gave to you our Christmas money. We haven't put a price on this yet..... But we will & it is going to be in the thousands. Moving on... This is a material list.... 100 blank CD's $44 100 empty sleeves for the 100 cd's $37 4 ink cartridges for printer $120 4 packs of blank printer paper $32 Four useless domain names at $13.50 each A vanity 877#... $120 plus 2 months service @ $67 each. Countless hours of printing useless information.... Total: $480 Printing expenses BEFORE starting legal action: 1000 useless 2 sided, 4 color business cards with wrong info @ $140 New business checks with wrong info $85 Business mailing labels with wrong info $15 All useless material & wasted time & money to join you in your scam.... Total: $240 Printing AFTER legal actions: This one is going to be tough.... Just in case all the media above doesn't get your attention... I am currently planning & perparing for a picket against you in an up coming weekend.... in your neighborhood and its not cheap. Included will also be the cost of gas, tolls, rented van with a bull horn, lodging, food & round trip travel from New Jersey to your state & town in Virginia. There will be 6 of us. We haven't totaled that bill up yet.... as it is still ongoing & unfinished.... but you will be paying for that expense too at an additional $200 per hour per person for as many days as it takes to get your attention. We estimate: $10,000 So far Karl.... You owe me.... Lets just say.... A LOT OF MONEY> The total that I am willing to settle for TODAY is: $40,000. If you refuse.... My settlement will be $90,000 with no more negotiations and I will begin by publicly humiliating you first and then executing a lien on your home. If I could have the IRS seize your bank accounts.... Ill do that too. This notice is 1 hour away from being printed & publically published on ripoffreport.com. Being that you don't want to answer to me why you refuse to give me back the money you ripped me off for.... Perhaps you'd rather justify your actions & explain to the rest of the world watching you right here on RIPOFFREPORT.com Also for the record.... I did a $10,000 cash buy in to Coastal Vacations with a very successful Top Director.... he is a great guy & we are doing just fine together as a team. The best part is.... I didn't have to rip any one off to do it either. I also noticed that Karl has recently gotten involved with yet an other money scam. Best advice I could give anyone is to just stay as far away from Karl Jacobsen as you can. Hay Karl.... Did you like the poster I made for you???? Karl Jacobsen claimed 10% of his seminar income would go to the Tsunami relief victims fund but he refuses to tell anyone where the seminar was held. Karl Jacobsen this is an open letter to you. You recently issued a global press release telling the world you were holding a seminar for Coastal Vacations. You used a headline that claimed you would donate 10% of the proceeds to the Tsunami relief fund. Myself and several other top directors in Coastal are each aware of numerous people who called and emailed asking where and when the seminar was going to be held. You claimed in the last few days before the scheduled event you "didn't know where the event as to be held... we are still looking and have narrowed it down to two locations." This makes absolutely no sense and now it is very clear that you never intended to hold any seminar at all. The question I and more importantly, the Tsunami victims would like to know is where is the 10% you promised them? How can you live with your own conscience knowing you are knowlingly misleading people? Well, it is out in the open now and if you can produce any explanation (including the seminar location for verification) many would like to see it. Your lack of response will serve as further confirmation of what we already know is true. You told Tracy you used the word Tsunami in your press release headline because you knew many people were seaching for it. Gee, I guess 911 or any other tragedy is not off limits in your twisted peception of life. All I can say is you need help. Karl do you even care about how this makes you look? How could you use a tragedy like this for your own personal gain? It's just not right.
