I purchased a 1998 Holiday Rambler Imperial motorhome on 5/12/2014 thru an ebay auction from Karolina Koaches in Piedmont,S.C. & I had to pay $500 right away & the remainder within 72 hrs. After I sent them a cashiers check,I told them that I would pick it up on the 19th of May. When I got there, they said that it wasn't ready & I could sign the papers the nexy day. When I got there the next day, I was told that I could look at the motorhome & take it out for a drive after I signed the papers. After I left the dealer & started driving towards Florida,I was having problems climbing hills, because I had no power. I called & told them what was happenning & was told to change the fuel filter, which I did. I drove it to Fl. & took it to a truck repair shop. I was told that the unit had been in a flood & my pac brake turbo were frozen open from the rust & water. The   main problem that I didn't have any power was the wiring to my transmission was melted.

So after I found out what was wrong & got home to Az.,I called the dealer & told them what I had found out & what they were planning to do about it. They told me that there was no way that the motorhome had been in a flood & that I was responsible for any repairs. Anyway,I took the motorhome out on a trip & found out that the refrigerator wasn't working, the wiring was all messed up & the charging unit wasn't charging. I had to go out & buy new batteries, new tires & take it to a rv repair & that cost me over $6500. I drove it up to Washington state & was a little scared going down the mountains with no pac or engine brake. In July I sent the dealer an email telling them that I was going to report them to ripoffreport.com & whoever else I could. I also found out that the motorhome was purchased in La. & also in Ar. Bob from the dealer sent me an email back & told me that he would buy the unit back & wouldn't talk to me via email. I had to call him & he told me that he would buy back the unit for what I paid for it,less 30% restocking fee & wouldn't give me anything for the money that I put into it.

I contacted the consummer office in S.C. & they got a letter from them showing that I purchased it as is & S.C. told me that it was ok to sell flooded vehicles in their state. I also contacted ebay & they don't care what is sold on their site. I can't see how businesses like these can stay in business.
