I originally hired this individual to train my service dog for me because I was going to be in college and didn't feel that I would have the time to train her. However as we got talking about contrats, etc I felt that she was only watching out for herself. She also kept trying to tack on extra charges as we went along. We had already picked out a puppy so I told her that I had changed my mind about her training my puppy for me and that I would just purchase the puppy directly from the breeder. I was living in Colorado at the time and was moving to Utah where she was. Workout my permission or knowledge she picked my puppy up from the breeders on May the 13 th and took it to her home. Her service dog attacked my puppy but she told me that it only "corrected" it and when she took her back to the breeders that evening she told the breeder that everything went fine and didn't tell the breeder that anything happened at all. I didn't have any contact with the breeder at the time so I had no way to tell her. The breeder noticed that my puppy started to act a little more sleepy than usual that night and the next day but didn't think much of it because she didn't know that anything had happened. The day after that which was a Sunday however my puppy's eye swelled up very big. The breeder was finally able to contact me and let me know. She took my puppy to the vet the next day and they sent her to an ophthalmologist. There she found out that she had a gouge in get upset eyelid from a large dog tooth and that her fluid drains in her eye had been caused to be blocked from her eye being pushed in by the tooth. They thought that they were going to have to remove her damaged eure and that she was also going to go blind in her other as well as be in a severe amount of pain for the rest of her life. Thankfully the meds that she was out on that night brought down the inflammation enough so that she was able to keep her damaged eye and keep her sight in the other eye. However, they recommended that she not continue her training to become a service dog, so I lost my original puppy because this woman's service dog attacked her. My puppy had to go to a pet home and now I am being told that there is nothing that I can do to keep it from happening to someone else.

Wendy, it is not my desire to hurt you or to cause damage upon you.  Your rights to free speech are undeniable, as is my right to refute your claims with truth and facts.  Free speech ends when unfounded and untrue claims are proclaimed to be truth.

You were planning to purchase a puppy from a breeder that I had recommended.  On Friday May 13th, 2016 the breeder that owned the puppy that you were interested in, requested that I do additional work with the puppy in regards to socialization and puppy handling.  The breeder brought the puppy to me at my residence for the requested training.  The puppy was left in my care at 1:01pm (MST) and was returned to the breeder at about 6:45pm (MST).  At the time of the puppy’s return to the breeder there was no apparent injury to the puppy.

Wendy, I contacted you on the evening of Friday May 13th, 2016 for the purpose of informing you of the puppy’s progress in preparation for you purchasing the puppy and for you being the principle trainer for the puppy’s training to become a service dog.  When I returned the puppy to the breeder’s residence there were no concerns expressed neither by the person receiving the puppy nor by any of the other witnesses present.

There is no concrete evidence that my dog “Rainier” caused any injured to the puppy that you were intending to purchase, whose name at the time of the incident was “B’Elanna” and was subsequently changed to “Katara”.

I have been informed that you purchased the puppy in question on the morning of Monday May 16th, 2016 prior to her being examined by a vet.

What investigation have you done, if any?

You have made assumptions and accusations in an attempt to accuse me, my service dog “Rainier”, and you are attempting to harm my business and the many satisfied clients and their dogs with unfounded claims about the conduct of my service dog, myself and the professionalism of my profession as a service dog trainer.

Remove and discontinue any and all of your scurrilous and slanderous statements and accusations towards me, my service dog “Rainier”, and my life’s passion in my business - Legendary Service Dogs.  Your compliance to this order is appreciated and will be assistive in preventing legal action.

She's now threatening to come after me legally if I don't take this report down. Ok, so 1) I don't know how to take down the report even if I wanted to and 2) there's such a thing as freedom of speech. I am done with this incident. My only goal in putting up this report  was to make others aware and to try to keep it from happening to someone else in the future. I was completely devestated by what happened to my puppy and ended up having a complete disassosiative episode the other day that I believe stemmed from all of the stress that has built up from this incident. I can't handle the stress any more. I am done
