I took my ring in because the stone fell out and the sent it away under the warranty plan. It should be back in 7-10 days after 14 days I called and was told it was in, so I went to pick it up. After I picked it up and put it on I was looking at it and said this isn't my ring to my husband and when they came back with the papers for me to sign I said I don't think this is my ring. The Manager pulled the fix it ticket and asked is this your signature? I said yes and said it's your ring.

We I got home I started looking for picutures of me wearing the ring. This one was gold with Saphires and diamonds set in silver with a yellow gold band. The one is the picutres showed clearly the ring I had was all gold the setting and band. I took it back and showed the manager and he said there is nothing I can do about it. It is just the same ring with silver.

So I came home and talked to the headquarters and explained the situation and the managers position. It took them a month to find me a ring like mine because they were phasing them out. She said she would talk to him and his customer skills.

The next incident was I had a ring that wasn't bought there but one of the diamond chips fell out so we took it to kays to have it fixed. They sent it away and it came back unfixeable they could not match the color of the stones. When we got it home 2 stones were missing we took it back and the manager stated it was there when I gave it to you so it's your problem. They were goiing to charge 200.00 We went to a jewler who has loose stones and do there own work. They replace two stones and fixed all prongs and only charged us 75.00. We are now shopping at Zales.

This doesn't make sense to me.

Why would you go back to Kay's ever again after having them lose your ring the first time around? I can guarantee that would have been my last time stepping foot into Kay's.

Second, why would you now be shopping at Zales? Why not the place that fixed your ring for you who does their own work in-house? I have doubts that Zales will treat you any better than Kay's in the long run.

I stronly recommend finding yourself a local jeweler. I've said it before, but a locally owned business doesn't remain in business for decades by ripping people off and mistreating customers. Also, many of them perform their own repairs, so there won't be any mailing off of your jewelry and far less chance of it being mixed up or lost.
