This is to inform all buyers looking for a new home in the Charleston Metro Area of SC to beware of Agents working for KB Home Studio. There getting anyone and everyone to sign quick and entice them to lay down earnest money so they can buy there permits. They then treat them like crap in order to backout buyers then replace them with new buyers thats willing to pay more for the house.

I'm supposedly under contract with no contingencies which was signed about 3 months ago. I'm told the house will be completed in November. I recently requested a copy of the addendum signed by the authority of KB Home. After a complete and uter runaround with my selling agent, Stephany, I finaly went to her office and requested a copy of the signed addendum.

The agent asked what I needed it for. I told her that I need to secure a loan application with Bank of America which is about to expire. (The application was placed a couple of months earlier.) The Agent suddenly became very offensive, rambling off at the mouth, stating: "Don't talk to me in that manner.", "You're scaring me." ,"You know what I'm just gonna call the police." My son and I are standing there bewildered at what was being acted out before our eyes. My son and I steped outside and I called my wife to come over and we waited. What she tried to do is Bum Rush me.

My wife showed up and so did the police; this agent actually called the police. This was a ploy to stall me from getting my signed addendum to Bank of America on time so that I can secure my loan application.

They also gave me a warning not to come to the office unless prior consent and that I would need 2 KB employee escorts. If all of this sounds a little far fetched. Its NOT! I'm a customer about to purchase a $200,000 home and simply asked for a copy of the signed addendum. I'm still not sure of the motives behind her behavior or why she did what she did, but I smell a SCAM!

Buyers beware of the fast agents with no contingencies. Make sure you get a closing date, they can sit on it forever. Now I'll either have to purchase the house at whatever rates they want to give me at the time of closing or I'll have to loose my earnest money by backing out.

I wonder if KB Home Studio makes it a habit of trying to frame there customers into assualt and battery? They should be sued, but the thing is, when I try to explain it, it sounds ridiculous and unbelievable. She treated me like dirt and this should be unacceptable by KB Home Corporate. I placed a complaint with them and maybe they will investigate this furthur.

I had high hopes of moving into a new neighborhood and being able to feel good about the move. But you know I feel humiliated and banished and I haven't even purchased the house. At this point I'm not sure whats gonna come of it but one things for certain, that selling agent is a low life scum for doing what she did to me. I believe BAD things will happen for her.

KB Home has acknowledged my worries and is near completion of our home. It was agreed that a misunderstanding had taken place and that sometimes business should continue. With that said KB Corporate was very concerned about our needs and assured us that KB Homes is deeply regretful that we have been frustrated with the purchase of our home. Our Agent openly accepted our inquires about the progress of the home and understood that the frustration in purchasing a home can be overwhelming. She invited us to visit the home as it is near completion. I must say that we are still excited about the home. And have high hopes that we can make the home look like their models which is what allured us to KB Home in the first place. The progress is moving along smoothly and we anticipate moving in soon. Bottom line is, I guess we all have our fair share of heartaches from time to time. My agent has also accepted my apologies upon any misleading expressions I may have given her and has agreed to set aside our differences. At this point I would recommend a KB Home because of their willingness to provide customer service in light of turmoil.
