K&B is rediculous. I worked for them for 6 months because thats all i could stand to driver for them, despite the fact that i communicated with my dispatcher every step of the way on unloads he still tried to pawn off all night runs when i had been driving the night before and set to unload in the a.m. and it takes 4 1/2 hours to unload a freaking tyson load.
They do have an off duty driving line for their elogs but that is to exploit the driver to drive fo 50 minutes so he/she acn still drive a full 11 hour shift, overnight dispatch was not very pleasant to work with eiether. God forbide if you dont leave the exact second your 10 hour break is up you get a d**n message 'are you rolling yet?' No point in trying to hash things out with the dispatcher eiether because they dont listen very well, they seem to think drivers are a lightswitch and can turn on and off on command. Dont work that way guys and gals. I found them on craigslist and i regret it to this day, i signed on to be a national driver and got stuck running between baltimore and michigan for 3 MONTHS!!! I know how to do my job, i dont like being told what routes to take unless its HAZMAT which K&B doesnt do. DRIVERS BEWARE!!! They promise the pay equivilent of 2500 miles a week at .39cpm for the first 90 days the .40cpm after the probation period, well thats b.s. But since they use TRIPAK you have NO proof of mileage, deliveries or toll expenses so you cant prove those expenses unless you make copies, but that doesnt even do much good. There is no payroll department, at least for the drivers. Dispatchers apparently do the payroll and they dont have half a brain between the 20 or so of them.
I only worked with 2 dispatchers there that were nice courteous and understanding, neiether of them was my regular dispatcher eiether. I didnt even quite, i was terminated and sent a letter saying i quite because i had a family emergency and needed a couple of extra days off. They came and recovered the truck and sent me a statement saying that i owed them $11.97, basically they shafted me completely on an $1800 final paycheck. However sadly i was not surprised. Since they were short me a little bit more on each paycheck after 90 days was up. Thats why i started keeoing copies but that didnt even do much good. As i said there really is no payroll dept. for drivers. The best part is i live in Washington, they screwed up my address and zip code from day one, i sent them numerous macros and told my dispatcher repeatedly via phone what it was and they still did not get it right. I had to physically be in his presence to look at his file on me and correct it. I had to show him on his computer that it was wrong and then had to collect my previous pay stubs from the 'payroll dept.' and tell them they f**ked up. But wouldnt ya know it they STILL GOT IT ALL WRONG!!!!! Dumbasses and idiots. However maybe i have a short b.s. fuse, i would strongly discourage anyone interested from working for these guys. But if you like being treated like a dumbass trucker and not the lifeline of this country as we should be, go for it. But i have pride in my profession, i'm 3rd generation and d**n proud to be, all my trucker brothers be safe out there.

Even after I all the horror stories I decided to give k and b a try...I
Started May of 2012
Left for new employment November 2012
1st I must challenge any1 who has anything negative
To say about k and b inform us on how long u were employed..
All physical complaints from former drivers are usually less than
1 month employment...pathetic in my opinion!
Everything u need to know about k and b ill tell u right
here!!!!!!
What k and b is truly about
1.They r in business to provide exceptional service to there
Customers...period end of story...most complaints r from lazy drivers who want
things to be done their way....not going to happen at k and b...
2.they also go out of their way to make sure there company is profitable...
Again...it's there company and they r entitled to run it how
They c fit
To close
All of u whining drivers crying about ur Dac report ill some it up for u...
I left k and b to take a local job....upon giving my two week notice I was given routed
through the terminal and issued a bus ticket to return
To my home town....I received my last two paychecks in the mail
Without a single dime missing...also I waited to file this tenure until
I ran my Dac...it's clean!!!! I would b happy to provide a copy to any1 who
Doubts my claims...
If u work hard for k and b and do things (here's the key)
Their way they will do their part as well which includes only a paycheck
A truck home time and a way home upon resignation....that's all any driver can ask
From a company...
I formed some good relationships while I was at k and b and I definitely miss
Speaking with most of the ppl there....I even got the opportunity to speak with the owner...
Funny thing is is that I didn't even know he was the owner but we had a good conversation
None the less...
I will b using this rebute on every negative k and b report I can find solely because I
Know from experience they aren't out to get anyone...all they want is a profitable business, happy
Customers and drivers who fit their mold....
Thx again k and b miss ya

You couldn't possibly be studying law. Your lack of spelling and education shows in your post. Where is your sense of responsibility knowing you were low on medicine and still chose to leave the house and start a new job. Then to go get a doctor note to do the I'll show them attitude. The company did the right thing by not letting you drive at that point because if theres a accident they could be sued. Rookies like you think you should still get paid even if you abandone equipment. Grow up!

Watch out for this company! If your responding to their ad "Fly Out,Drive Back" BEWARE!!! If you respond to their ad, be advised that if hired, you will be flown to retrieve an "abandoned" tractor and/or trailer for this company. Whats wrong with that you say? Alot! First of all, theres a reason for this position they offer. Chances are, the driver DIDN'T abandon their equipment, THEY DID!!! And since they abandonded their driver, their equipment is now abandoned also. Isn't that nice? And on that note, since they have this warped mentality, what makes you think they won't eventually abandon YOU too?!!! Stay away from this company...PERIOD!!! Don't believe me, ask them what their retention rate is or better yet, ask any former K&B Transportation driver how they feel about this company. If It Sounds Too Good To Be True... It IS!!!

If a company has to pick "recover their" equipment, then they have a legal right to charge the driver the cost incurred in "recovering" said equipment. This includes fuel, wages of the driver(s) sent to recover equipment, and ANY other costs incurred by the company.
