Just a little information so that you are aware in the future- FMLA does not apply to temporary agencies. You can be approved for it all you want from a health care provider but the agency is not required to honor FMLA laws. FMLA does not even apply until a year after your employment with a company begins so unless you are on assignment for over a year I would imagine that you wouldn't have a case... Good luck and I hope you can resolve this soon.

VERY VERY IMPORTANT. I forgot to mention this in my report. Kelly "services" commits out and out nefarious stealing, unscrupulously violating Labor laws in each and every state as well as Federal labor laws. Kelly services programs in to their computers for companies that may or may not work on holidays. Twice, I was defrauded by this Kelly "services" evil, illegal, corrupt and senseless criminal scenario. 1 - Kelly "servces" lied and said that on Labor day, every one at Sprint does not work. My on-site supervisor and I worked. I found I was shorted the exact numbers that I had actually worked on Labor day. 2 - One incident, I worked a one day assignment. I made the innocent, honest, innocuous mistake of placing my Tuesday's hours on Monday. After not being paid for a month, I asked my supervisor. She investitgated and stated that particular Monday was a holday. I said So?? The Labor board requires each and every company to pay their employees for services rendered. It's the law and has been since the nineteenth century. In obscenely lying, stating that "it is programmed in to our system that way", they are spitting in the face of all who fought to end slavery. An honest day's pay for an honest day's work, every time. And without any lies nor any excuses. It should be pointed out that Kelly "services" never paid me for the mental stress and needless and mindless deprivation that they caused me. Deliberately stealing and blaming it on "programming in the computer" is a slap in the face and a sneaky way to surreptitiously sneak by with slavery. When you do not pay, it is, is, is slavery.

Kelly is a temp agency. And if you read the entire rant from the OP, you would see that he/she thought he/she was eligible for time off through the FMLA for simply having worked. Oh man...and people wonder why I drink.

The same thing was done to me. After 8 years of doing hard work assignments, I was told that I had been fired. Never an explanation; wrote a letter to the president; no answer from any one. Keep us posted. May be I should have called the attorney general in Michigan. Will you be doing so? They use employees and throw them away.
