KEN TOWERY Temporary $2000 repair--wants $3000 to make it right again LOUISVILLE, Kentucky
Took my 2002 Ford Escape to KT b/c of exhaust smell in cabin. Was told there was a leak where the caltalytic converter entered engine paid @$2000 for repair that lasted 6 weeks. I was told when the initial repair was made that the bolt holding it in broke & that IF they couldn't get it drilled out the repair would be $4000---so the less expensive $2k repair was "successful" and they were happy to take my $$$. Vehicle again started having exhaust fumes in cabin---took it back and now they want $3000 to fix the repair that didn't work--now they say the whole cylinder head needs replacing b/c bolt not holding. My neighbor warned me that KT has a reputation for sure bait & switch "temporary " repairs--I will NEVER go back---I have also sent customer complaints directly to KT via their website--still no one has ever called me---what a joke of a company!!!!

Wow--the power of the internet!! The folks at Kt were on the phone first thing this morning falling all over themselves to "make it right" and thanking me for the opportunity to try again...all at no cost to me--well except for that original temporary repair
