Developed vehicle (engine) problems while traveling from North Carolina to Illinois.  Forced to pull off interstate and spend the night.  Next morning, noticed repair place across street.  As I was dealing with a family emergency, left vehicle with Lowery autocare and rented a car to get to Illinois.

By telephone, was given an assessment and, based on the description and my knowledge of the vehicle, it sounded correct/plausible.  For example, spark plug wires had never been replaced, meaning that the recommendation to replace seemed reasonable.  So, I authorized the work.

Subsequently picked up the vehicle and paid the almost $2,000 bill.  The vehicle ran for about 1,000 miles before the same problems reappeared.  Since this happened in North Carolina this time, there was no practical way to return vehicle to company in KY to have them ascertain why the repairs didn't last.  I have no way of knowing how the firm would have handled the matter.

Due to another long drive that I could not postpone, I opted to replace the vehicle.  While I do not know why the same problem arose after only 1,000 miles, I do believe that for $2,000, the vehicle should have operated properly for a longer period -- plus, as I left vehicle with company for days, they were not rushed.
