Ordered my son's dinner in KFC's drive thru. My order was $6.04 & gave the clerk $20.04 she gave me my dinner & off I went. I realized half way home that I didn't get my change back. I didn't return to the restaurant as I thought to leave it til the next day & call the restaurant.

Low & behold the supervisor informed me that the register wasn't short. Anyone in this situation would know that the clerk pocket the money. The supervisor was going to look into it & leave a note for the manager of the store to get back to me. Well, days went by & no phone call. I called again & spoke with another supervisor & she was going to leave anotber message for the manager to call me. Again no call. I called & called & called & finally 2 weeks later & spoke with the manager & she felt that since register wasn't over that she had no reason to call me.

I was livid...I told her that it's not about the money anymore but the principal to handle the situation correctly & not have an upset customer. I like to choose my charity!!!!

Here's a suggestion for you: NEVER leave any of your funds with them. Sometimes people take things that are not even yours, and you should accept the fact that you did not give a care about your change. If you did, then you would have went back and got the change immediately instead of driving off and forgetting about it. You also need to face the fact that you lost your own money--not them and it was your responsibility to ask for it back.

I have been through that before. I just left a doctors office because my son was sick with a bad cold and i needed to get him some medicine from the store. my son then said that he was hungry so i looked in my pocket and saw that i had $20.00 and then decided that i would gp through a drive thru at burger king, get him food, then take him home to his dad before picking up his medicine. i then went through the drive thru, ordered, gave the money, the girl took forever to give me my food, my son was talking to me and then the girl gave me my food, well then i drove from the window, before i left the parking lot i noticed i didnt get my change back, which was $15.00, so i parked, went inside to ask for my money back. the girl said that she gave me my change, the manager counted the drawer and said that it wasnt over and told me that i needed to wait until they finish counting all of the drawers after the night shift is over and to call the other manager tomorrow. I was pissed, i bairly give them my money and the girl forgot already if she gave me my change or not. then now i have to wait 2 days to get my check from work so i can buy my sons medicine and my husband just paid bills with his check so he had no money. I called the other manager the next day, he said that the drawers were short that day not over so he couldnt give me my money....talk about anger!!!! I then told hin that i am 100% possitive i did not recive my money and that i want him to look at the camera that points out through the drive thru window and then i decribed my car, the time i was there and myself, and then he will see that she did not give me my money. he called me back 2 hours later and appologized, he said that it does show on the tape that i did not get my change back, and that i could come and pick it up. Even though they were sure at that point that i wasnt lying, all they did was say, sorry and give my money back, whick i thought i deserved free food or something for the stress they caused....

YOUR negligence is NOT KFC's responsibility!

Are you always so careless with your money that you fork over a $20 bill for greasy, fast-food fare, not even batting an eyelash when you never receive your change? Consumers everywhere need to keep a cautious watch over their money. Clerks and cashiers everywhere love customers like you, who so freely supplement their minimum wage salaries, often without even realizing it. Why wouldn't you turn the car around and go to retrieve your change immediately when you noticed the problem? The cashier in question would be there, the manager would be there ... you would have gotten much better results than waiting 24 hours! Just because YOU were irresponsible with your money does NOT make it okay to blame KFC (or anyone for that matter) for YOUR negligence!
