Kevin Whatley Mathew False Order for Custom Flash Drives Ellisville Mississippi

Today we recieved an email order for 1500-3000 4 GB and 8 GB custom flash drives. This is a highly unsual number of custom flash drives to order but we proceeded with creating this quote for the contact only known as Mathew. He was quick to approve the order, but his english in the email responses was terrible and raised red flags for us. We asked for a 50% deposit on the order and wanted to know how he would like to pay for it. We asked if he could call us or give us a phone number so he could give us his credit card info over the phone.
He never gave us a phone number and said he has a very bad voice and would like us to send him our fax number so he could fax the credit card info to us. By then we were highly suspicious. We did some investigation of the company name which he was using (Accessgard INC) which turns out to be a real company. We found the number for that company and called to inquire if they made this order. That is when we found out that they did not place the order and this was a scam.
We have reported his gmail account to google and advise any other print/marketing companies who get an email from this guy to report him right away.
He did give us a shipping address and name to ship the products to.

This same person contacted our company yesterday and was directed to me since I am in charge of promotional products. My story is almost identical. We haven't heard back from him since he got our fax number.

This guy has again reached out to our company asking if the quote is still valid. We responded that we will only do business with him if he pays up front in cash for the full amount.
