Key Battery.com ripoff, threatening, trying to sue me for item I never received San Clemente California
I purchases a camcorder battery from them. It arrived but didn't work at all. It appeared to be refurbished or substandard material as the stickers were half pealed off. Battery held no charge, nor did it charge.
I contacted them for a return. They stated via email that I needed to send it back at my own expense. I did so. They admit they received the returned goods. They stated they would send me out a replacement right away. Well, months later, no item. They no longer respond to any of my email.
I gave up until I realized I paid via credit card. I contacted American Express who tried contacting Key Battery. They didn't respond to them. So AMEX credited me my money. Only then did I recieve threatening email from Key Battery how they are going to sue me.
They stated I didn't read the fine print and that they are going to send this to collections.
Funniest part of whole thing is that when I asked them to provide the tracking number of the item they supposedly sent, they couldn't. They instead stated they would see me in court.
Caveat emptor.
