Michael Gardner was hired in November 2008, to do home renovations at 11 W.

Sharpnack St., Philadelphia, PA and the job was scheduled to be completed by March 2009. Mr. Gardner informed me in February 2010, that the job was to big for him and after inspecting the property I was displeased with the work that was already done. Upon seeking the estimates from other contractors they pointed out the faulty work that had been done. In addition to, Mr. Gardner was given $1,800 for the purchase of materials that were never purchased. I received an estimate that it will cost $3,075 to have the previous work repaired and completed. Mr. Gardner signed a promissory note to repay $800.00 with payments of $200.00 a month. When asked about the payments Mr. Gardner informed me that he was not going to give me his money to pay to another contractor. He wanted to work off the debt. After Mr. Gardner removed his tools and other personal items from the property in April 2010, the electrician discovered that the feed lines from all the bedrooms on the second floor, living room and kitchen leading to the breaker circuit box in the basement had been cut. Only two people had keys to the property and that was Mr. Gardner and I. Mr. Gardner falsely stated that he was a license contractor and after doing research I discovered that he is not registered with the Attorney General's Office which is required by law effective July 2009 for all contractors working in the Commonwealth of Penna must be register.
