My girlfriend had one the first year they came out. It was a great van, but did go thru brakes on a regular basis. She was a visiting nurse and drove about 350 miles a day. In two years, she drove it about 170,000 miles and it went thru about 4 sets of brakes. (rotors, pads, 1 line) That averages to brakes every 42,000, which isn't bad. Kia parts are high as there is no aftermarket for them. Brakes on her car were about 300 bucks a job. Please add more detail. Do you drive highway more than city? How many miles a year? Do you haul or tow with it? Thanks.

Despite the lack of details in your report, it is clear that your car is TWO YEARS OLD and a KIA. It is not unreasonable to need brakes after two years, especially under certain driving conditions, and especially on a Kia (not exactly the best quality automobile out there). Why do you feel that you should not have to pay for brake replacement?
