Kim Kessler, owner of KiKi Originals, a bridal apparel shop was contracted 15 months prior to my wedding. She was to copy a designer dress, a very simple design. One month prior to wedding, when I saw the dress it was made of the wrong material, and wrong color. I placed an order for Ivory Silk Taffeta, Kim accidentally ordered a more expensive fabric and never told me, the fabric was white and "dutchess satin" She added many unflattering additions, the dress made it impossible for me to lift my arms, tiny sleeves-one was very tight one was very loose. The dress had many threads hanging from the bottom and sides. When I verbalized dissatisfaction, she became very angry, refused to fix mistakes and repeatedly spoke of her no refunds policy.
The dress was also too tight for me to breathe in, my breasts were completely flat and couldnt zip up my back. One week prior to my wedding, she neglected to continue working on the dress. When I came to see it, It was laying on a desk, without plastic, without a hanger. The most important part of the dress, the back (BUSTLE) was not finished, did not fit, was still the wrong fabric and color. I questioned, photographed, and videotaped the dress. She told me she was uncomfortable and asked me and my husband to leave the store. As I was leaving the store she insisted I "take the dress" incomplete, wrong size, uneven. She became livid when I didnt. In court, she lied many times, and had an excuse for everything. The judge could never get a straight answer from her. ALSO- the dress was altered, fixed, and presented in court the way it was supposed to look. I am still waiting for my judgement in the mail.
