Last month (September) I switched cable service providers, I contacted my old cable company as I was no longer in need of their services. It took over a week for them to send a technician to shut off the cable that I was no longer connected to. When I received my internet bill for the month of October, I was not credited for the cable bill that I had paid previously! When I called to ask about the credit, I was informed that the do not prorate their bills.

So I was charged for almost three weeks of cable I did not use. My cable company told me this is their policy now and there is nothing to be done. I don't undestand how I can be charged for a service I didn't use. This company will not hesitate to send a technician to shut off your cable the day your bill is due, but it took a over a week to shut it off at my request and they will not give me my money back?

As it stands this company has a monopoly on cable in my area. If you want to get away from them you are foced to use a satellite provider. They are also the only company to offer high speed cable internet. Comcast has recently come into my area but, i was told that because of Kingsland Cable's agreements with the city, they are unable to provide service to anyone on my side of Highway 95. Please help!

I have been on Kingsland Cable TV for almost 12 years now. I have accidentally missed a payment or two for a month over those 12 years, but it has never been an issue and I get a reminder letter to jog my memory.

When I've had cable and\or internet issues on Saturday's, Sunday's and\or evenings, (which is rare), I'm always shocked that there's a repair van in my driveway the same day within an hour or two of my reporting the issue.

When HD kicked in and I was having issues, they sent two trucks to my house and the owner of the company instructed his techs to change all the coax cable ends inside my house to HD coax ends free of charge.

This is not the lousy service that you get when you are with a big satellite TV company. This is hometown service and pride in their business.

As for an earlier review\comment that I read about not getting a prorated refund. Maybe the author of that comment should have read their contract before signing it.
