Kirby And D Fiscus( Same Company) well all i can say is that the kirby company in moline ripped me off i walk in there he talked about him and i got hired promised 250 for training well i quit Moline Illinois
Hi, my name is Lisa, and I worked for the Kirby company for two days and notice they are rip-offs, My friend and i were looking up jobs on the internet and went to the quad city times.
Which is a news paper, and seen this add that said FACTORY OUTLET hiring call this number, at first i thought it was a department store, but anyways I called the number i asked what the company was called and asked what they did.
The person said the companys name was D Fiscus, and is located in Moline Ill, which is 35 miles from where I live in Muscatine Iowa, He dident mention what they did just asked if my friend and i could come up for a interview we agreed heck what could we lose with the job rate these days.
we go up there and the area distrutor told us he would do the interview with both of us together, well i was like ok, he started saying that they sell kirbys, I said what we're going to sell kirbys and he said yeah, well then he just started talking about him like how he was in the military and blah blah blah.
He said that he would give us a call to see if we were hired cause he had ten other interviews that day and had to decide on who to hire, I said ok, well he did and we where both hired emagion that, and asked if we could start Wensday which was two days later, well then he kept calling saying he just wanted to make sure we was comming and that they were buying lunch.
well we went there for the training which he promise to pay 250 to 300 for training for the three days, and we agreed of course, the first thing that struck me when he only talked about himself the whole day, the second day we went there he stated to show us the paper, i was comfused becuase ussally they have you sign a W2 form.
So I asked him if they were going to need are driver license and when we was going to fill out the W2 forms the person said there was no W2 forms thats when I new something was fishy about this job cuase for them to pay us they need to take taxes right, and I live in Iowa and the Kirby company is in Moline so I would have to pay both taxes.
Well I went home and looked the company up on the internet and only to come across rip-offs so I looked in and thats when i found out about them ripping people off, so my friend and I quit the job only being there for two days, I called them up to see when we can pick are checks up and now there saying they dont have to pay us for the two days we was there cuase we didn't do any demos why so are famliys can be victims I'm glad we didnt cause then they would be harrassing are famliy.
So i called the labor board on them and hopefully we get payed cause its sad to see people going through all of this and not even get payed I'm glad i didnt work for 70 hours and get 50 dollors, so I'm telling everyone that is going to work for the Kirby company on 3407 23rd Avenue Moline Illinois think twice they are rip-offs.

TO LISA, REGARDING NOT BEING PAID FOR TRAINING. ALL KIRBY OFFICES ARE INDEPENDENTLY OWNED AND OPERATED. WHEN YOU WERE ACCEPTED TO GO THROUGH TRAINING YOU WERE NOT AN EMPLOYEE, YOU WERE A INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. THAT IS WHY THEY DID NOT NEED TO HAVE YOU SIGN TAX FORMS. YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN TAXES, ALSO YOU COULD WRITE OFF A LOT OF YOUR EXPENSES AGAINST MONEY YOU WOULD HAVE MADE. THE REASON YOU DID NOT GET PAID IS YOU DIDN'T FINISH THE TRAINING. WHY WOULD THE DISTRIBUTOR PAY YOU IF YOU DIDN'T FOLLOW THROUGH. MANY KIRBY OFFICES HAVE A GUARANTEE PROGRAM FOR THEIR SALES PEOPLE. MOST OFFICES HAVE A WEEKLY GUARTANTEE , TO COLLECT YOUR GUARANTEE YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE RULES IN YOUR DEALER AGREEMENT. THE GUARANTEE PROGRAM IS FOR A SET NUMBER OF PRESENTATIONS DURING A SET PERIOD OF TIME. IF YOU COMPLETE 15 QUALIFIED PRESENTATIONS WEEKLY YOU WOULD BE GUARANTEED $400.00 . HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES. IF YOU HAVE COMMISIONS OF $600.00 FOR THE WEEK YOU WOULD COLLECT THE $600.00. WEEK NUMBER 2 YOU DID 15 PRESENTATIONS AND DIDN'T SELL ANY UNITS YOU WOULD GET THE $400.00 GURANTEE.

Sorry people, I just read the rip-off report I wrote and it didn't make any sense, Its all I have to say is dont ever work for them they make it seem like its a good job but all they do is tell you lies. They hire you and use you, have you demastrate kirbys on your famliy sopposley to help you on your first day, well thats a lie, they have you demostrate so then your famliy feels sorry for you so then they will buy one so on and so on and then they make 1500, well then i asked gabe the area distrbutor if there was any W2 forms to fill out and you know what he told me, that the is none, whats that tell you. Well I quit and now there telling me that I dont get payed for the training cuase i got smart and looked them up and didn't put my famliy through the missory of them harrasing them to buy one, and i travelled 35 miles each way to try to get a job abd now a days its hard to find one and then you do and there rip-offs thats rude expessially when you have kids. I just want to say to everyone out there you cant trust no one no more for now on im checking into every where I go now, dont trust them thats for sure.
