I purchased a Vapor Chief 100 psi steam cleaner a few months back for $1499, lot of money but I thought I was getting something I paid for. Vaporchiefsteamer.com advertises 100 psi on this machine and a 100 other statements and claims about his products and knowledge and expertise against the other brands out there. I was swayed on my purchase out of fear of what he said I was buying elsewhere and how dishonest they are.
What a load of crap this guy is serving. He is a one man band running a business out of his house and doesn't have any more know how than I do about steam cleaners other than lie about them. I trusted the site because I detail cars for a living and have used a few of the $100 steamers and really wanted to get in the game for my customers.
The machine was okay, better than what I was used to until one day I flipped it over to clean it up only to find a sticker that clearly states Max 90 psi, that AINT NO 100 PSI!!!! I can only say I am not going into all the trash talk this guy is spitting up on his website, but I can tell you there should be a law against it! The more I looked deeper into this guy and all of his advertising the more lies I found! The guy Kevin is not anything he says he is.
He advertises - "Incorrect temperature ratings-We see outright lies out there." Really????? Lies?
How stupid do you think we are? I am now talking to other companies and finding all of the real stuff about these cleaners and the truth and it looks here like this guy thinks he is smarter than his customers. I am writing this report here simply because there is no where to go make a review on this guy, no Yelp, Google reviews....nothing, no where to file a complaint against bad business on a cave dweller. Maybe someone will see this and look closer at this guy.

Hello,
I am very sorry you feel that your vapor chief 100 is not as advertised. I understand the decal that is placed on the bottom of the machines states a maximum pressure of 90 PSI. While it is true the decal states 90, we do set the pressure to 100 at the factory.
The decal has been used on previous models that did not have a pressure of 100. So your concern over a false advertising claim is valid and i apologize. However, the refill 100 is set at 100 PSI in the boiler. We have updated the decals as shown.
I am sure that your machine is set to 100 but i will be happy to check it if you wanted to send it in and have me go over the settings. Shipping will be on me both ways.
i am sorry you feel ripped off and i understand your feelings based on the sticker. But i am not lying or ripping anyone off with a poor or under performing product. I have sold steamers for too long and have too many out there to be ripping anyone off
My advertising does not trash any competitors. I generally compliment them but i point out areas where i feel my machine has an advantage. I still feel the machine you purchased from me is still better than the refill competitors out there and i will stand behind the pressure claim despite the sticker which has been changed. But i do appreciate you pointing that out
