Agree, not all truck companies will give exact reasons for not hiring. It's their right, and they are entitled to hire whoever they want. I've heard similar excuses from other companies. I have 12 years of experience with no serious issues with DAC. I seem to have gotten lucky with no tickets for speeding and such.
With my hiring experience with Knight Transportation, they keep offering to hire me but I can't seem to make it to orientation. A year ago, I was suppose to make it to orientation but opted to try another company. Knight Trans was always understanding. And when I applied for work for them six months later, they accepted my application again. A month ago I was given approval for orientation, but then my wife got in an accident in taking me down to orientation. Oops, so much for orientation. Once again, Knight Trans understood and waited for my car to be repaired. I forgot to mention another time, but Knight Trans seemed to understand as well.
I don 't know any other company that would keep inviting me to orientation. For example, I was invited to Koch Trans, but decided they weren't for me. They always had such a negative attitude toward me ever since. :-)
So, I think it all depends on the company and their policies. So, I will offer Knight Trans my 12 years of experience and see what happens. If I'm lucky, I will keep busy for many years to come. (Think positive).
