Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

To all persons thinking of working for Knight Transportation do not believe all you read here.  If you are an honest and hard working individual you will be treated with respect at Knight Transportation.

I worked for them until I had some medical issues and was always treated like the worker I am.  I worked hard for them and they worked hard for me in return.  I was always home on time.  My pay was always in the bank when it was supposed to be.  I got as many miles as I wanted.  I was never asked to run illegally.  I was always compensated in some way when layover was necessary.

I have worked for companies that operated in a deceptive manner and withheld miles and/or dollars.  I am thinking that these reports have been filed by persons who will be dissatisfied no matter what or that they are lazy and expect to get paid anyway.

I know this is to report bad things about companies, but I hate to see honest and hard working persons give up an opportunity to work for a great company just because a few persons have written bad experiences and nobody took the time to disagree.

Alot of stuff is going on at Knight lately.

They are closing terminals, firing managers, and getting rid of every driver that has more than 3 years with the company.

I just got off the phone with a previous terminal manager and he is also searching for a job elsewhere.

There are no good guys left at the compay anymore.  All Knight wants is a bunch a college kids looking for internship positions making slightly above minimum wage.

So if you want to work for a company that you have to deal with a bunch of immature kids that have no idea what's going on and only care about where they are going to go out drinking after the 5 o'clock bell rings than go to Knight.

It's truly amazing how this company has gone to the dogs in such a short time.

They Knights constantly brag how they are a "DEBT FREE" company.  Well if you have to steal from your drivers to accomplish this I wouldn't be bragging about it.

So do yourself a favor and steer clear from ever thinking of going to Knight for a job.  Go to McDonalds.....you will be happier and you will be treated much better!

Yeah....We are all young and stupid at one point in our lives....

This report is from a "rookie" that just doesn't get it yet.

Trust me...Knight is a "bottom of the barrel" company!  If you have no other choices to consider.....I would still steer clear.

I will work for minimum wage at McDonald's before I would ever reconsider working for Knight Transportation ever again.

I killed myself and ran 150,000 + miles per year for 3+ years for what?  Never a thank you....Never "atta boy".   They will chew you up and spit you out.

Just do me a favor...Before you ever consider driving for Knight Transportation please contact me (((Redacted))).

I will gladly give you the "inside" scoop on a company you would NEVER want to be associated with!

Thanks.

Not just your opinion....

The problem is the entire DAC reporting system.  Just because a safety director is p'o'd at a driver and enters information on their DAC that is less than satisfactory that poor employee suffers the consequences forever.  This is just wrong!

Look at it this way....If the employee is leaving the company there is obviously "bad blood" between the two parties.  Why can't the poor driver just "move on" with his life without all the roadblocks that are there because of the click of a mouse?

Just "my" opinion.

Nobody's saying they are the worst company to work for.  But they have done things to drivers that have cost them the ability to get hired somewhere else.  This many people going through the effort to post about the same thing can't all be lying.
