Don Kogle was a contractor I considered hiring for a remodel of a hemet property. My project manager who brought him into the project gave him a check from our project account for $5000 to be used for detailed drawings of the house to be remodeled. Initially, I met him at a restaurant (I paid) and wanted me to sign a contract for this, but I deferred because I wanted to check his prior projects first. I was surprised to find out my project manager paid him $5000 in advance the next week, but decided to wait the 2 weeks for the drawings he promised. Well it was well over a month before I got anything, and it was a basic drawing that a 9 year old could have made. He didn't sign it, there was no legend or measurements on the drawing, nor did his name appear on it, and initially, I thought he was joking with me.
I had no trouble reaching him prior to his getting the money, but afterward, he answered only once to say he was sorry, he was having family problems and would return my money. I never got any invoice or money or even another returned call after that.
Certified mail to his company is sent back unclaimed "return to sender".

I'm sorry to hear this Scott I wish you the best of luck and hope you get your money back. I used to know this man personally and this is not the first time I have heard this happen to someone. He is a troubled man and he does have lots a family problems , he should not be in business. I still want money for the four sago palms he took from me! Good luck!
