I purchased a koss discman portable cd player for the gym.It stopped reading cds after about 5 uses. I tried lense cleaning, different cds, batteries, and finally tried returning it to the store it was purchased. They said it was a manufacturing defect that I had to return it to the company. So i emailed the company and was told that I had to call them so I did. I was told almost immediatly that since the manufacturing date on it was August 2003 that they would not replace it. I was outraged because it was only purchased 6 weeks ago! But they wouldnt do anything to help me. I was transfered 6 different times and each person wanted me to repeat the issue so I patiently did and was still told the same thing by each person that I needed to pay to have it repaired. They sell so many that according to them I either purchased it along time ago or I bought it from a pawn shop after it had been refurbished! Nothing was going to change thier minds on this one.

Now I was getting angry! I then demanded to speak to the 6th supervisors director and was then informed that he was the CEO and didnt have time to speak with customers! Ok so if the ceo doesnt want to deal with customers who can help you in the company? NO ONE!

I was put on hold after the 10th time of asking to talk to the "big guy" for 24 minutes exactly. After this, the first original person I talked to got on the phone and informed me that he had left for the day. HUH? Now all of a sudden when there is an angry customer on the line waiting the guy has left for the day? suspicious? I think so. So my name and number was taken for a call from the BIG GUY, but, guess what?

Still nothing!! Im still sitting here with a new broken cd player and still no call from the main guy. So if you are going to buy something to listen to music on and you actually want to listen to music, DONT BUY KOSS!

One more thing about the company other than the fact that I was treated rudely, talked down to, basically called a liar, and wasted 60 minuted being transferred, I was informed that my small purchase wasnt going to make that big of a difference if i never bought their products again because they were such a large company.

So i warn you, please consider before you buy this name. Its cheaply made, doesnt last, they dont own up to their product, and the customer is as far away from number one that a company could make them!
