Kraft Maid Cabinetry ripoff A similar situation on the delivery of cabinets to the Home Depot story. Cabinets arrived damaged and took weeks to replace. Started project in Mar., now it's the end of May, still trying to get my corrected cabinets delivered. Middlefield, Ohio
I ordered my cabinets from Kraftmaid through Lowes in Mar. It took 6 plus wks to finally have them delivered. Once delivered there were several items which were damaged. I called to have them replaced and was told only 4 items were replacable per order. Eventually the rep had to be called to "approve" the 5th replacement. They then told me it would take another 3 weeks to get the replacements made and shipped out.
I then found that they failed to tell the designer they didn't make a particular cabinet in the design I needed. They shipped what they had which didn't match. The designer and I then had to redesign the area this involved, return the cabinets and order new ones. I'm still waiting on the new cabinets.
It is now the end of May. The reorder cabinets were to be delivered on the 25th, to the store this time, not my home. I arranged for a truck and someone to go pick them up, but when I called the store I was told only one had arrived. I called Kraftmaid and they said the 2 cabinets were sent, but not the filler. If they couldn't locate the filler it would take ONLY 10 more days to get. (can't put up the cabinets without the filler so we wait some more) There were more phone calls back and forth, between the shipper, Kraftmaid, and Lowes. The bottom line is they were NOT delivered and SHOULD be in tomorrow. Now I have to make new arrangements to have them picked up and still won't know if the filler is included.
Other items I'm waiting on are the mullion doors for top cabinets. They sent 6, but they didn't line up when put on the cabinets. The strips of wood were all uneven. AFter calling about this, they told us to measure out the door the way we wanted it and call the rep with the measurements and they'd make us new ones. This will take another week to 10 days. I'll be lucky if I have my cabinets by the middle of June. That would make it 4 months of messing around. I know of others who ordered from more reliable companies and had everything done in 4 weeks. Kraftmaid you stink!!!!
