Krause's Furniture/G.E. Capital ripoff purchase not received complete but they want complete payoff San Diego California
Purchased from Krause's Furniture on 05/17/01 a sofa and chair for the amount of $1,781.28 with a $593.76 down payment owing $1,187.52.
I am disputing the amount owed. In good faith I purchased a sofa and chair and only received the sofa. I was assured by Krause's a number of times that they were waiting for the material and as soon as it was received I would receive my chair.
The balance of $1,187.52 was put on a Krause's credit card with deferred payments for 1 yr. which I planned to pay in full when due.
In December 2001, I was notified that Krause's filed chapter 11 bankruptcy. I was assured by Krause's that my order would be completed. In good faith when my payment came due I sent them another $500.00 which left a balance of $687.52.
When Krause's advised me that I would not be getting my chair, thats when I advised them that I would stop my payments until I recived my chair or they could pick up the sofa and credit me for what I paid them.
Now they want to settle for more then what I should owe because of the interest accumulated and I still don't have my chair.
I really feel helpless. I the comsummer who made a purchase in good faith in now being ripped off.
