Kristopher Michael Hunt (born 1978) is on Probation through 08/04/06 for similar scams. Case# FWV022455 He has a PUBLIC RECORD maintained by San Bernardino County Courts that anyone can access at this website: http://170.164.50.60/openaccess/criminal He pled guilty in San Bernardino County California (where Chino is located) to (3) Felony counts on the charge of: PC484G(A) Theft by Forged/Invalid Access Card (over $400) Other Charges he had against him that were dropped via plea bargain: - PC502(c) Computer Fraud [(9) counts] - PC535 Mock Auction [(3) counts] He served one year of jail as a part of the sentencing, but note the following conditions in his probation, which are still in force currently: #11. Not maintain a checking account or complete or endorse any checks unless made payable to you and not have any blank checks in your possession without the permission of the probation officer #12. Submit a record of income and expenditures to the probation officer quarterly. #30. Do not access the internet. So given the fact that you and others were ripped off by this fellow in the last year, you probably will not see your money back from him directly, but he did have to pay restitution to those he stole from before through the court. So if he gets caught, you can pile your claim on in hopes for restitution. Since he is on probation and this is a criminal matter as much as a civil matter, I would suggest two actions if you want to try to do anything: #1: Contact the Chino Police Department to file a report over the phone: 909-628-1234. They can usually take a phone-in report and give you a Report Number. You can then request a copy of the report from the Records department for your use. #2: Contact the Probation Office and track down his probation officer to tell them what happened to you. Probation officers change often, so be patient and expect to get bounced around and get slow replies, but you will get some satisfaction eventually. The probation officer is supposed to know where these people live at all times. San Bernardino County Probation Department 8303 Haven Avenue Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730 (909)945-4000
