HEAT Marketing Group changed their company title many times before.  One up was KSW Marketing, and who knows how many other titles it used.  Perhaps for evasive tax purposes?

The company uses job-seeking out-of-work people to work for FREE.  FREE LABOR ANYONE????  I have read many other reports exactly like my own experience.  They said it all.

I "worked," or should I say I "labored" there for 3 days.  I didn't get my money.  I knew it was shady, but I thought I would give it a try for a week to see and give it a chance to, maybe, convince me they were not shady.  I couldn't do another long hour day and not have anything to show for it.

They want you to "work" from 10 in the morning, to 8 at night, Monday through Saturday, even Sunday if you can.  Go door-to door and solicit Home Improvement Power Windows and Siding free estimates in conjunction with SMART CIRCLE MARKETING.

You had to get a LEAD.  First, they told me I would get 50 bucks per LEAD.  Then, they told two other people that they would get 45 dollars per lead, and the other 40.  Conflicting commissions.  Then, they said it had to be an absolute DATE OF APPOINTMENT for the estimate.  Then they said it had to be within 4 DAYS.  If you ask me, a lead is a lead, no matter what-appointment or no appointment.

You have to drive your own car, use your own gas, use your own toll money, use your own cell phone to call the call center to put in for your appointment.  Stand around for hours approaching everyone soliciting free estimates in a store and get shrugged at.  Or, go door-to-door and solicit people in their own homes.  You are lucky if you get three leads in one day, and an appointment within 4 days.

I had three leads in one day with an appointment, and I had two leads the other day, but no appointment within the 4 day mark--one week the customer wanted.  That doesn't count???

I didn't get my money but I just didn't care.  I do not like to work for unethical, evasive people and frankly, I do not want anything from those people who run this scam crap.  I don't know how these people can stay in business and keep on doing what they are doing???

There's really nothing else you can say about this shady "marketing" firm. They seem like they have the best of intentions when you try to "work" for them. I did enjoy your term of Laboring for them because that's what you do. You get up every day and start work from 9am to 8pm and then you get up and do it all over again. I only say 9 am because you have to be in the office by then so you can go over "marketing" strategies and practice pitching to each other so that we can all have the hopes of running our own office one day. Now at first I didn't care I used it as a learning experience, but after about three days of the same thing over and over again I just got annoyed by the whole deal. I just couldn't see getting up every day at 6 to get to an office in Cherry Hill, NJ (seeings that I was coming from an hour away and still have a family to support) with about 40-45 people crammed into a little a*s room while I see other future "managers" sitting in the lobby being completely duped by the ad that they just answered on some random career search website (I will keep them nameless because it's not the websites fault). It was really just a sad sight to say the least. I can say it was sad because I was one of those same suckers. Now I'm sure that there are people that can actually make it in this kind of environment where you have no social, family or general human interaction aside from the rotating people that come in and out of the office and the countless people that you must harass to get a free estimate on Windows and siding. Now DJ I do have a question for you did you get to have the reps from Power come and give you a pep talk about how great a job that this company does for them and how what we do actually accounts for something in the world or was I the only lucky one? Cause I'll tell ya that was such a delight it made me want to quit right then and there, but I waited till the next day hahahaha....What was really funny was that one of the reps looked like Jon Stamos' younger more down syndrome inflicted brother.... So this is my story. I hope someone else shares theirs later.....
