KT Engine Development ripoff Charged over twice as much as quoted Quoted $200 charged $468 Concord North Carolina
I went to KT Engine Development to have a crankshaft balanced for an engine I am building. Keith told me it would cost $200-$250 to internally balance my part.
Three weeks later he called to tell me my part was ready for pick-up. When I asked how much the bill ended up being, He told me $450. Needless to say, I was shocked. $450, I asked, How that happened from $200-$250.
When I went to pick it up, Keith was not to be found for an explanation. I asked why they did not call me to approve the work since the cost more than doubled. They did not have an answer, they just basically said pay or they keep my part. So, I paid the $467 and some change to get my part (due to needing it a month ago) and left very angry.
