Hi:

I too am sorry for all of those who have shared their stories regarding L.A. Weight Loss. I am a current "client," and want out now. Yet, I don't exactly know how to go about it. I am especially uncertain because I did pay upfront -- in the heat of the moment, and, besides loathing myself with a vengeance, was pretty aware of what I was doing. Mostly I loathed myself so much because I, too, was "brought down," as the other reports mentioned; that is, I was reminded about how much better of a "life" I might have once I only lost the weight. I was told I was severely overweight(I am about 50 pounds above "normal" and am 29). Yet, instead of boring everyone with their manipulation tactics (of which we all are aware), I would rather share an experience that is, too me, "the last straw."

First, I joined not really so much to lose weight right away (I've been heavy for awhile and learned to live with it), but to "learn" how to eat correctly. I had gone through several binge and purge stages and was feeling its ill-effects.

Yet, I have noticed that there is no individual counseling as claimed -- they push me out of the door, and even faster when I don't buy their "take off" fasting program, even though I already paid about $1700 (not to FAST!).

Indeed, my "last straw" comes with this "take off" drink I was encouraged to buy, even though I have been steadily losing 2 lbs. a week. "Summer is coming," the woman said. "Do you always want to be so heavy?" she asked? She then proceeded to repeat those statements over and over, but, luckily this time

I was able to resist, but not without a heavy dose of guilt.

What about "healthy" eating? What happened to that!!! Again, I joined this program to get off of the cycle of crash diets that have ruined my figure and my health. When I refused to do that with the "take-off", again, I was pushed out of the door. I feel so betrayed. If someone could offer advice, I would really appreciate it.

Best of luck to you all.

Melissa
