We are sorry this consumer was unhappy, but the pictures he posts show his wheels had some abuse. Normally, if it is just cosmetic, we do NOT charge the customer;but, if the wheels are out of round, cracked or not true, our published policies clearly state we will charge for repairs. We have to do that on exchanges since, if not repaired, we cannot chrome the wheels for our next customer. We cannot tell if the wheels are out of round until we get them and spin them (without tires) on a wheel balancer.
Customers sometimes confuse balanced wheels and tires with having round and true wheels. Balancing is used to compensate for uneven wheels/tires; a balanced wheel and tire may still have out of round wheels.
We do not rip-off our customers. Proof of that comes from our 99%+ positive rating from more than 5,000 eBay customers. Still, some customers refuse to believe that their wheels had problems. We try to work with them, and would try to work with this customer, if he would just give me a call.
We do not hide behind our website or eBay. This customer, or any potential customer, can can reach me at 818-626-8867. If he has a legitimate issue, we will resolve it.

The only picture link that works is the first one but anyway. There's 2 sides to every story and in this case you can win cash wise so congratulations. You forgot to mention when we spoke on the phone the fact that you were going to charge me another $85 on top of the $325. That was a big surprise to me when I opened up my paypal refund. Completely unaware of that. I 'm not going to go over everything again and that wheel looks nothing like the ones I sent you. There is brake dust inside that wheel and all the ones I sent where throughly cleaned before boxing. I hope people read this for years before doing your exchange program. 2 of my brand chromed new wheels are already starting to show corrosion from washing them. I would rather have them re-plated locally than send anything back to L.A Wheels. For all I know is I could end up paying for another one anyway. BEWARE OF SCAM

We are terribly sorry that we had to charge you for a replacement wheel, but please understand that due to our high customer service standards, we only ship wheels to our customers that meet them, and a cracked wheel does not meet these standards, nor can it be safely repaired or used.

Check out the links below everyone. Just so everyone that reads this in the next 20 years does not think i'm making up my story. I'm not the only one out there. Here's a few others that have problems with this company in the past. Do a google search on them. This company makes me want to vomit. I'm just waiting for the chrome to peel off my new wheels. I wouldn't doubt they would make you put your vehicle up on jacks while you pay to ship your wheels back to them. If they even honor their warranties.... Either way I will never deal with them again
Here's just a few others:

If you had any brains you would refund the remainder of my deposit. I've already posted up reviews/complaints about L.A Wheel and Tire on numerous forums. Ferrari owners, Corvette, Mustang and Cadillac forums. I have plenty of time on my hands. You want to lie and steal from me? I will ruin your internet reputation very quickly. You should know being in sales. Haven't they taught you that good or bad 1 person will tell 10, 10 people tell 100 and so on.... Man up and stop scamming people of thier hard earned money

Your disclosure is nothing more than a way for you to ripoff online buyers that cannot leave you bad ebay feedback or file a complaint with ebay. This is exactly what you did in my case. I had seen the chrome wheels on ebay a week before I purchased them for $657 and could only find them for $878 on ebay when I looked again. I called L.A wheels to ask them if I could still purchase them for the $657 and they agreed but..... L.A wheels would not agree to open another auction for the $657 but agreed to sell them at that cost if I just agreed to send the money through paypal along with the core deposit and return shipping cost. The way I look at it is they do this quite often according to other online reviews I've seen on this company. They convinced me to do an unsecure transaction out of ebay for more than $200 less than I had seen them last but in the end they had control over my deposit to make up the difference plus some for their greedy pockets. Pretty smart if you ask me. The other funny thing was that I was told it would take a few weeks to get them out because the were short of wheels. Could they have had a few damaged ones laying around and need to replace them to complete a set????? They know what they're doing and don't care if it affects the reputaion of thier business.
As for the wheels,, I had brand new tires mounted by my GM dealership a little less than 2 weeks before I made the chrome wheel swap on the car. The wheels and tires balanced out and were inspected by the dealership before mounting the brand new tires then again before they went back in the boxes to return to L.A wheels. I have documentation to prove it too. L.A wheels has plenty of pictures of damaged wheels and can just send you one of those pictures and tell you that it is your wheel. It's easy money and they are across the country for me so I am out of luck.

If repairs are required to be performed on wheel(s) being returned as a "core" to L.A. Wheel and Tire, this will result in a minimum of a $95 deduction from your core deposit (per wheel), if the wheel is repairable. If the wheel is not repairable, you will be assessed the cost of a replacement wheel. In any event, you will never be liable for any amount exceeding the total amount of your security deposit

I just recieved the partial refund through paypal from L.A wheel and tire aka la-wheel-and-tire or http://www.lawheel.com. After speaking with Robert today he tells me I will be paying $350 for a new wheel since he claims 1 is cracked. I just got the paypay refund reciept and he deducted another $85 for a wheel that is supposed to be bent on top of a $325 core on the one that he claimed was cracked. I am livid right now. I recieved $890 back out of a $1300 deposit for wheels that were perfectly fine when removed from my vehicle. I spoke with the GM dealership that installed my tires 2 weeks from me and he told me the tech that did the install said that everything balanced correctly, no wheels were bent and the wheels were definetely not cracked. They had light curb rash which was acceptable according to L.A. Wheel and tire and this scum bag Robert. Totally ticked off! Please save yourself the hassle and scam and do not do buisiness with these theives. You will not get your full deposit back!! It's obviously a game they play and have you by the balls once you send it to them. They can say they recieved any wheel they want once you send them your originals. Nothing you can do but sit there and get screwed

Today I spoke with Robert Burgert. The same guy from L.A wheel that approved my core deposit wheel pictures I sent to the company. Convieniently for them they claim the wheel has a huge crack on the inside and are going to charge me $350 out of my $1300 deposit. He sends me pictures of a wheel with a 2 inch crack down the inside and lip going clean through the steel. Are you going to tell me that a GM dealership did not see a crack that big when installing my new tires and that the tire/wheel did not leak one psi of air with a crack that big. The more research I do on the place the more I feel stupid for buying from them. I attached the pictures he emailed. Robert made sure to tell me he had just taken for me when he read my last email.
