Rick and Stephanie Kettells dba as the Lakeside Resort are nothing short of rip offs. My recommendation is to stay somewhere else that has some integrity and honesty...they will tell you that they will find someone to rent the time you had reserved, most likely rent it out without telling you, and then notify you they were "unable" to rent it out after the rental period has past so you don't have an opportunity to find someone local to just give the time to, and charge you the full amount. Then fall back on their one-sided, renter beware cancellation policy.

They have about as much integrity and honesty as Trump. It was closer to 3 weeks notice and it was because I tore my ACL and had to have emergency surgery...I got absolutely no effort to even change the date to when I could walk - instead, they most likely rented it out and double collected because I didn't hear a peep from them until after the reservation time...how convenient, too late to give to friend to use - but then they would have probably surprised the folks double renting. They are nothing but a Christian facade cheating and screwing everyone they can out of their money. The key thing to remember if you have a brain fart and decide to make a reservation at this Rip-Off Resort is the first words of their assine cancellation policy that I failed to comprehend how true it was - "“Our business depends on advanced reservations..." wouldn't you think that a resort's business would depend more on repeat customers, and not reap what you can from customers?
Renter beware.
