This was a very unfortunate experience with this customer. This man is very unstable and incompetent and even admitted he is on a cocktail of medications. He has no clue when it comes to any kind of home improvement work or any kind of contract in general.
Our contract clearly stated the his tile would be cleaned (bead blasted), which is what he originally asked for. After noticing that his tile would only be cleaned, he blamed the bead blasting to cause his pool to leak???
A new pump and filter was installed and then we were blamed for all his other corroded exsisting timer/switches etc. not working. Even blaming us for prior work done that had nothing to do with us or our contract.
We suggested to him that he hire a proffessional pool service to help maintain the pool since he had no clue how to take care of it. He did not, so within weeks he had a nasty green, newly remodeled pool
When the matter went to court (because he charged-back his money from the credit card company) the situation was explained to the judge and he made us meet back at the customers house during lunch break and then return to court with a resolution. We were willing to work this out the whole time and this is why the judge gave another chance to resolve the issue without a judgement.
Upon inspection of the pool at lunch time we saw a black swamp nightmare. The pool hadn't been touched for months and was full of trash and debris in a backyard so full of junk and dog feces you could barely walk around. AGAIN, we told him that we would basically fix EVERYTHING (even things that had nothing to do with us) if he would pay some of the balance and the rest upon completion. The judge agreed to these terms and set a folow-up date one for one month after.
The customers promise fell through again. He did not even show up to court for the follow up hearing and lost the case.
We really felt sorry for this guy and how incompetent he was. We were willing to let the matter rest until his rediculous posting on this website. He has not shown up for court again and now probably has a bench warrant.
In his report he says "By the way, the whole court system in alhambra, is extremely friendly to Lamiglass, ask for a change of venue if you don't want to find extremely biased judges!" This tells you the kind of person he is!!! We have connections in the Alhambra court?????? wow....
He had mentioned to us that his insurance was paying for this job. He probably submitted our invoice to the insurance, got reimbursed, and obviously kept the money from us that he charged back...
We have remodeled over 5000 pools and backyards. Ask any contractor, sometimes you come across these kind of people.....
