Landmark Merchant Solutions destroys and changes your website without notification ripoff Schaumburg Illinois
Landmark Merchant Solutions and their "free website" is about as bad as it comes. The service as well shows a no care attitude second to none.
I bought into their website back in September of 2005 and have had nothing but issues with them. From their lease to their support and backward software.
On April 7, 2006 Landmark decided to change their software and didn't notify me and other customers that this was going to happen. When they did the change on Friday they left for the weekend and had no backup support to fix their mess.
My website was totally changed and wasn't working. Links were gone, directories disappeared, pages gone, products missing and that's just for starters. I worked all weekend to try and get my site up and running, but was unsuccessful to say the least.
I sent various help desk tickets concerning my site and comments about their software not working correctly and a few choice comments. So far all I've received back out of about 20 complaints are 2 telling me one problem wasn't supported any longer and the other saying one of my issues looks like its been resolved.
To be fair they did fix 2 pages, but I still had to go in and fix those pages being they weren't done correctly. If you don't know HTML you are going to be in very bad shape. Infact, their cut and paste doesn't even work.
Never have I seen such poorly written software in my life. It looks like the new software is in a bata test enviroment but they went live with it instead.
Its now been a week and my site looks bad doesn't work correctly, and if you are able to get to your old site, it states "CLOSED for maintenance".
So, how is a person suppose to run any type of business for a mess like what I have? It took me 6 months to get the first site going well and starting to get customers, now I'm right back to square one.
Oh yes, the wonderful sites they show a person when they want you to buy into Landmark are sites that were done over by the site owners. Landmark may have given the basic free junk site but when I checked out the nice sites I found out Landmark didn't do them. But, they claim they did.
Stay far away from Landmark! Infact they need to go into the "No Spin Zone"!
