My husband went in to look for a good trade in for his car. The gentleman who was assisting him before Mr. Danny Adams was just doing his job and assisting my husband. No matter how many times it was explained that the car they were showing was out of our price range, the sales rep kept going back to speak with the manager. Eventually the manager came out and yelled at my husband for not taking the deal they were offering. They explained that it doesn't change our budget. While that is all good and dandy, that is not what we were looking for. We were looking to get rid of the car payment all together.

They were trying to sell us a 10 year old card for $13,000 and dealership fees. I just bought a brand new car from another place (who is excellent by the way) so we don't want to add another $13,000 onto that. My husband also brought up the fact that my brand new car with 3 miles on it when I drove it off the lot was only about $3,000 more than what he was paying. At that rate we might as well just buy a brand new car.

The manager then went on to blame me, even though I wasn't actually at the dealership, for my husband not being able to get this car. This was NOT a car my husband even really wanted. Regardless of how much the payment was per month, it wasn't a fit for us. The manager went on to explain how his twice ex-wife would never really let him buy the things he wanted. He kept asking my husband if it was a car that HE wanted, as if the fact that communication in my marriage isn't important and that he should basically man up and buy whatever he wants because I should just be the submissive housewife. He implied that my husband is better off divorcing me so he can buy the car he wants.
My husband asked 3 or 4 times for his keys. He said he felt like he was being held hostage because they wouldn't let him leave. There were two people ganging up on him making him feel like the scum of the earth which is not fair at all. The sales person he worked with before Danny had explained that they hadn't sold a car in 2 days, which with behavior like this I'm not surprised.

Any dealership that uses bullying tactics like this should not be in business or getting business. Going over there myself would not do any good and my husband won that battle by not buying the car. I will not ever recommend at least the Orem location to anyone.
