My Larson Lifetime Warranty Door had the handle fail. This is a fancy model, not the 100.00 basic one. The handle is a brass lever style.  It is located on my home property in an enclosed porch, so it never sees wind or rain.  The handle is flopped in a down position, like an inner spring has failed.  As I was on their website searching for a way to troubleshoot the repair, the chat window opened with a Larson representative.  I was informed that the handle for this expensive Lifetime Warranty Door has a one year warranty and no parts are available, the exact handle is no longer available, and I will have to retrofit a different handle.  I start  complaining about the misleading advertising and the response was something like "it lasted 13 years, what do you want"  (the door was manufactured 13 years ago, The handle has only been used about 5 years).  And a replacement handle will cost 30.00 to 40.00 dollars. This is not my first bad purchase from Larson Door.  I have a rental property which once had 8 Larson Doors.  Only 3 are still in use and all of those are replacements.  Seems Larson uses some crummy fiberwood inner core that swells and crumbles when there is moisture.  Then the door starts sticking because it is bigger then when it was installed.  Then the outside sheet of metal corrodes away.  This is a storm door, but don't let it get wet.  No more Larson anything for me.
