Latonas.com Latona's We hijack and sell money making web properties HIjacked our company name from Startlogic webhost's domain service Atlanta Georgia
We were notified by Google search our company site was not found by Googlebot. That's how we learned our site name had expired. Renewed it at Startlogic using their automated service, but they later declined to renew and demanded a much larger redemption fee after taking our money for the renewal fee.
We refused what seemed like an extorsion plan on their part, so they sold our site, our company name, to this reseller. The idea being, we'd pay those a-holes even more for our own company name, even though anyone else trying to use it would be sued immediately anyway.
It's apparently been decided that webhosts that provide domain services should begin f-ing over their clients for bonus fees and scaming tactics to boost their bottom lines.
I was with Startlogic /Tucows for many years. Moving everything away from them bit by bit. They've sucked for the last two years or so in services anyway and tripled their price since signing on.
They love you when you sign up, but don't pick up the soap after year one with them.
