It’s been over six years since my original complaint and I haven’t received any response from this law firm. So, I’m going to assert that what I said is truthful: that Simon Hiller is a terrible, money-hungry attorney, and after speaking with a number of well-intentioned attorneys over the years, acts as more of a crooked politician working the system than someone who’s genuinely concerned with his clients’ well-being.
I’m coming to realize that the worst part of this case wasn’t losing the case and my ensuing experience with the courts, judges, fines, and civil penalties – no, the worst part of this case (and, without coincidence, the most expensive part) was working with Simon Hiller. The person who’s supposed to be your advocate clearly just wanted to pump and dump my case while making absolutely no attempt to console my grievance with his poor service. But what does he do instead when this report has become a permanent mark on his online search rankings? Seemingly fabricate vague and generic five-star social media reviews about his “fighting hard to win cases.” If he cares so much about his clientele, he’ll instead refund me my money and issue an apology for losing it.
But he won’t do that. A refund is completely out of order, but what’s not clear then is why he thinks that having a bad presence online is something that won’t hurt him or is somehow less costly than issuing said refund; I wouldn’t be surprised if the original complaint has cost him tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost business over the years, and it still continues to affect his business into the future.
I’ll say it again: hiring an attorney like Simon Hiller was the worst part of this entire legal ordeal. Don’t hire him. Find an attorney that genuinely cares about your well-being over your wallet.
