Layne LaPage aka Layne Page presents himself as a wonderful "christian" person.
He presents you with a handwritten proposal to do work on your home. Once you have agreed you are asked for a check generally for 50% of the work proposed. The check is cashed immediately, generally within one hour of your signing it, there are no supplies purchased and you are never able to reach Layne again.
There are numerous complaints against him with the BBB.
Stay away from him and do not let him con you with his lies and distortion of the truth as to who he is.

I am Layne LaPage, the X-Owner of Christian Contracting. A person named Joe in Cedarlake Georgia has reported lies upon this website about our now defunct company and myself. It has been said that we handwrote invoices. Untrue, We did over 70 complete jobs in the calendar year 2007 and 2008. The majority were in Wilmete Illinois. We also did work in Chicago, Winnetka, Kenilworth, Lake Forest, Des Plaines, Wheeling, Glenview and Buffalo Grove Illinois. With the exception of one customer all invoices were computer generated with Company Logo and Lic # and address. In these 70 some jobs I did have 2 complaints against the company to the BBB of which 1 was exonerated and one had no resolution. Due to my decision to leave private business and the fall of the housing industry, I chose to let the business lapse into a dormant corp. In the last days of this company I was not able to pay all of the outstanding debt and there is a dispute financially with A CUSTOMER THAT HAS YET TO BE RESOLVED. This does not make the company or myself a CON MAN or Rip Off Artists. It makes a struggling contractor who failed in the economic bust. This JOE in Cedartown Georgia never had any work done by us or myself because we never did work or were licensed in Georgia. I am now in the Ministry and I also have Children.. Tis mans accusations are lies and hurtful to me and my family. If he has been Financially damaged by me or my company in any way, PLEASE PROVE his accusations. I am a Christian and try and conduct myself as such, but I am not to just lie down and let this man tell these out and out untruths.
